Deann Turner Ewing, MO Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 12/22/2011 | As a Missouri 4-H Shooting Sports Volunteer we have visited the club for Registered Shoots, Fund Raisers, Qualifiers and practice. The club has always welcomed the youth and volunteers. The Club works to make the experience a positive one. Their willingness to work with leaders and help them provide a safe program for the youth they serve is always appreciated. We appreciate past and current board members, along with Matt, Mary Ann and Ralph for all that they do to support Missouri 4-H Shooting Sports, but especially the State Shotgun Program. |
Ron Cain ELDON M.O. Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 04/09/2010 | Thanks Guy had a great time at the first registered trap shoot. Cash may have grown an inch on all that good food, brisket and spuds great! Again thanks for a sat. shoot. Ron, Tina & Cash. |
Tim Earney Villa Ridge, Mo. Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 03/01/2010 | I have been enjoying the shooting sports for over 40 years and have probably shot clay targets at more than 20 different clubs in Missouri and Illinois. There is no better facility anywhere that I am aware of. All of the traditional games, trap, skeet, 5 stand, and sporting clays are as good as they come and for even more fun, they are one of the very few facilities that are set up for wobble skeet which just maybe one of the most fun shotgun sports available. The clubhouse facilities are also second to none and the entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you enjoy shooting clay targets you will certainly enjoy the experience at Prairie Grove. |
Bill Kruse St Louis, MO Visitor Once Reviewed 09/17/2009 | I visited Prairie Grove on a Sunday to spend some time with my daughter who is a club member thru the University of MO shooting club. A marvelous facility! The grounds, including the individual skeet areas, are very clean and well groomed. The facility includes a spacious and very comfortable club house for those spouses who do not care to take part in the sport but do want to join in with the family adventure.
I have always been amazed that in this sport the very best shooters are more than ready to aid advice and time to new shooters, and this club was no different. We joined in on too very good shooters who immediately welcomed my daughter, a new member, and made her feel very comfortable and welcome.
The camaraderie and good humor carried over to the clubhouse where Guy Loyd and Mr. and Mrs. Gates made us feel more like a part of the family than visitors.
A great place to spend a day or a tournament! |
