I attended many Trapshooting events, especially the Golden West Grand.
It was one of the nicest Gun Clubs, and wonderful staff that ran the club. It was like going home when arriving in Reno.
My Idol was & still is Dan Orlich, the Trapshooter to watch preforming his smooth & effortless ways of shooting. He will always be the known as the greatest Trapshooter in the History of Trapshooting. I feel very honored meeting him. I shot Trap for many years, most of my traveling out of state was in the 70's

I believe that the sage hill gun club is one of the finest trap facilities anywhere. I travel to trapshoots weekly during the year and i can tell you that there are very few this nice, and NONE finer. Its not by accident that this club is this way. Darlene and her staff continually work their tails off to make this a beautiful and challenging venue. The trap houses and pullers are excellent, the stations are clean and crack free, and the club house is dynamite! The full service bar has video poker and the food service is excellent. Where else can you go to meet and watch shooting legends like Dan Orlich, Dan Banillas (both Hall of fame shooters) or feel and see the rich history of trapshoots past. A must see for everyone. Be sure to visit the pro shop too!

I agree with all the comments about the facilities and staff. As with any sport however training and education is key. The training staff at the club has coached and trained all three of my sons and my wife. Whether it is how your gun fits to how to hold it, the staff has patience and true passion to help first time shooters to seasoned veterans to shoot their best!

This is a fantastic place to shoot. As a visitor I was treated by all the staff members as if I were a regular member of the club. I highly recommend Sage Hill Clay Sports to any visitor in the area - I drove from Tahoe City, CA to shoot and the trip was well worth while.
Thanks to everyone at Sage Hill.

First time shooters, great friendly help. Couldn't have had a better experience. A must stop in if in town for business or pleasure. Sporting Clays course fun. Nice to see customer service still means something.

This is one of the finest shooting facilities I have had the pleasure of shooting on. My first impression was, "My God. What a terrible background!" however after shooting here, the background became insignificant and scores are always high! The target presentations are great, grounds and facilities are well maintained, and the outside help couldn't be nicer.
