I hunted there a few years ago, and am planning on booking something again this year when the weather cools. Al and his wife were VERY nice hosts. I had a great time with them, shot some nice birds to take home, and then was given a full tour of the clubhouse and the then new trout pond. They make you feel really welcome, and are just fun to be around. A great place run by great people!

I recently spent some time up at New Hampshire and decided to try out Wilderness Adventures. They recently got into sporting clays/5 stand and had just installed state-of-the-art clay launchers (remote controlled) when I visited. The owner, Alan, gave me the run of the course, I was the only one there. It is more like a 5-stand range, set in a tree-lined clearing near Hillsboro. I found this to be a very challenging course and the setup was excellent! The tree backdrop is really close in, and it makes it a real challenge to spot the clays as opposed to shooting on the flats with no trees around. Reaction time is critical, if you don't get the bead the birds will be by the treeline and you can kiss them goodbye. I did about 6 rounds over three days, I learned a lot from using their course. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly, I really recommend this place if you like a challenge and are visiting the area!

Wilderness Adventures Hunt Club is a really great way to enjoy the combination of shotgunning and beautiful New England at it's best. Alan is a very nice host and goes the extra distance to make people feel comfortable. The Tower Shoots are something to be experienced and the area is large enough to test the legs, this is not a single field operation. 4 groups with dogs could be working and never bump into each other. I highly recommend the place for a day of serious fun and shotgunning enjoyment where your safety is never compromised and your dog's nose will be given a great workout.
