Lou DelCotto Jr Clarence Center, NY Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 05/29/2011 | North Forest Rod and Gun Club is awesome. Everyones friendly, eager to answer questions or give advice, and even work with novice shooters such as myself. I have been to the club with my son 8-9 times, and always have a great time. Its a people place to shoot, and to learn. Great place for family and friends! |
Tim Laubacker Lockport, NY Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 12/21/2010 | North Forest Rod and Gun Club now has a fantastic 5 Stand building with plenty of potential to see a wide variety of targets ranging from rabbits to teals. The shooting stations are inside a new, nice looking building which makes it a great winter shooting destination |

Reviewed 07/15/2009 | Just to clarify. I do not work there tho it may feel like that at times. I am a volunteer and I am president at the membership's request, also I am very sorry that a prospective shooter and friend had a bad experience with us being closed. Things like that happen working with volunteers, they want to be busy and if not they go home. We do try to make the shooting experience at North Forest as interesting and satisfying and friendly as possible. My hope is that the gentleman who came would come out and identify himself so that "proper amends" (read that as complimentary shooting) could be made. We try but we aren't perfect. Come and see for yourself! |
Judith Appleton, NY Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 06/14/2008 | Sorry, that Jim had a bad experience, when the day is very slow the club closes early, especially if the weather is bad as the busiest times are early in the day. It would be the general response to say that a reservation isn't necessary because the shooting time is open. It seems very unusual to me that someone on the phone would say come at 1:30 as I personally know the policies as I am the presidents wife. |
Jim Batavia Visitor Once Reviewed 05/06/2008 | Called to see if they had an opening for Sporting Clays. They said the day was wide open and come on in. I asked to make a reservation he said not necessary see you later. I showed up at 1:30 pm on Sunday right when the guy on the phone told me to be there. I passed three cars on the little dirt road to the club, turns out this was the employees leaving early when they knew I was on my way. When the last car passed 50 yards later I pulled up to the locked gate to the club. I drove an hour to get there, waste of time and gas. I will not join this club. I suggest you avoid it and find a place that cares about its guests. |
Norm Aul Niagara Falls, New York Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | The friendliest bunch of guys you will ever meet. Great facilities, Large clean environment. Enjoyed shooting there very much. Going to try sporting clays next visit. |

Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | North Forest Rod and Gun Club is without a doubt one of the better sporting clays ranges in the Western NY area. They offer two well maintained and highly challenging courses for all levels of shooters. |
