Reviewed 08/01/2010 | Now shooting on Tuesdays until 7:00. Fun competition, 50 5 Stand targets, Lewis Class (optional) and serving burgers with the trimmings! Starts at 4:00. Fun time, we've had 3 shoots this summer so far... The targets are different every week. |
Jerry Green Nampa Idaho Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 05/01/2010 | Well thought out course with quality equipment, they have some great targets. The folks here are truly great people and are very accommodating. Looking forward to my next visit. |
tom saunders redmond oregon Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 05/01/2010 | The 13 station sporting clays coarse is open.
Have been shooting the five stand course and having a great time with some great targets. The sporting course has some of the best terrain that I have ever shot. First time shooter to master class shooter this coarse has targets for every skill level. Fun friendly club.
congrats to Tom Carey for posting his first ever 90 with just a little coaching from the course setter Drew.
Keep up the good work guys and thanks for bringing a first class sporting club to central Oregon. |
Chris Greenwood Bend, Oregon Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 04/25/2010 | An update to the earlier post. As of mid-April, the facility's sporting clays course has been built and is operational. Well, more than operational, it's fun. The walk-through / golf cart-accessible course is graveled with nicely made shooting stands and full electronic pulls which enable singles to shoot the course (and lie about their score). COSC has rental golf carts for convenience and the beginnings of a nice pro shop. There is much more to come, so give them a call and book a tee time. |

Reviewed 03/06/2010 | Not really an employee, I currently volunteer (pull targets, etc.) at the 5 Stand on Sundays. I also usually shoot two or three rounds. This is a great facility - currently has two 5 Stand courses set up, a beginner/intermediate (8 automatic machines) and one more advanced (6 auto machines and 1 manual). We are changing the 5 Stand layouts every few weeks. The sporting clays course machines (13 of them!) have been ordered and course layout is taking place. Eventually there will be two walk-through sporting clays courses. There is great cover for the planted pheasants and guides with dogs are available or do your own unguided hunt. We also have two NSCA certified instructors, lessons available by appointment. There will be special events monthly and throughout the year. For March 2010 they are offering a special for first time visitors on Tuesdays and Fridays, 50 5 Stand targets for $10.00 (regular price $22.50). There are also 500 target "shoot passes" available for $150.00. Submitted 3/5/2010 Hap |
Chris Greenwood Bend, Oregon Visitor Once Reviewed 01/08/2010 | Now Central Oregon's only working 5-Stand operation, COSC offers a beginner-level and a tournament-level "course." In and amongst the Juniper trees, see how Central Oregon's unique terrain creates an experience unlike anything else you've experienced.
As of January 2010, their sporting clays course is not yet complete, however the plans are to have it working by mid-summer.
I encourage you to support this new facility, which also includes bird hunting. |
