Bob Dodd Eugene, OR Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 03/02/2011 | This club has grown considerably. Now features full Sporting Clays with 10 or 12 shooting stations weekly and can be expanded to more stations for organized shoots. Holding the Oregon State Sporting shoot for 2011. 5 stand has been expanded to include it's own shooting building and skeet has a building where registered shoots are governed. Trap has expanded having 4 new shooting fields good for chair shooters, voice calls have been improved for near instant release, at least 8 fields available for big shoots, restaurant in the big clubhouse. |
Susan Quarterley Springfield, Oregon Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 01/25/2009 | This is a great place to shoot, no matter your age or skill level.
The people are very willing to help new folks. That's why my family is renewing our membership for another year!
The food is great, and the fireplace is very cozy on these cold days.
Come check it out! |

Reviewed 01/04/2009 | The CGESC has been on the move this past year. WE have brought back Skeet with 2 fields,2 new Beomat Skeet traps and Briley coin-op machines. We poured 4 new overlays to traps 1-4 with the center filled with red cinder rock, its beautiful. We run 5 stand every Tuesday starting at 1:00 p.m.during the months of daylight savings time. We are in the process of adding new lighting to the Skeet fields and are re-lamping our trap fields. Many other improvements have been made thanks to a new board of directors that run the club by committee's. 09 will be another year of growth as we move towards having Sporting clays on a more consistent basis. I personally invite all to come and enjoy one of the finest Shotgun shooting sports facilities in the state.

Jeremy O Veneta Oregon Visitor Once Reviewed 08/19/2008 | This was a great experience for my wife and I. The people here are very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Karen McKenzie Veneta, Oregon Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 07/31/2008 | Just wanted to let someone know that there is indeed Skeet at this club. This is a great place to learn to shoot. Everyone is helpful and patient. It is a great ol' lodge to hang out and watch others as well. The restaurant people also do a fantastic job!! |
George Buehler Freeland, WA 98249 Visitor Once Reviewed 06/18/2007 | I visited this place 6/17/48 and loved it. They have 12 traps I believe, and one machine set to throw birds about straight up. The game was to hit them (doubles) as close to the ground as you could. I seriously embarrassed myself but I'm used to that.
There is no skeet field. Note the above description says there is one but there ain't. Due to some sort of club political hassle within, the towers were removed and now it is just trap and that 1 stand thing which I think they do variations on. That's a shame but BS politics are not uncommon in clubs. They usually survive but man, removing the towers seems extreme.....
The club has a snack bar, a fine club house with lounge furniture, covered outside benches to watch the shooting, voice activated traps, and RV parking with water and power hookups. No dump. Full cell phone reception there for Verizon anyway. It is just a few miles off the I-5 just south of Creswell so I for one will plan to be headed by there on Tuesdays or Sundays whenever I do go "south" in my rig. I do that many years so can hit the place at least twice a year I hope. I forgot to ask what if any charge there is for Parking a RV.
This is a fine place and well worth visiting if you're in the area, even making a vacation trip to do it. Oh, dogs welcome. There were some fine pooches running around. |
Dan P. White Pleasant Hill, Oregon Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 01/19/2007 | What a terrific place to go shooting - for the first time beginner or a National Champion.
The people go out of their way to make you feel welcome and to be certain that your experience is a pleasure. Everyone I have talked with is more than willing to offer ideas and support to help me improve as a shooter.
The equipment is all state-of-the-art, the grounds are very well kept and the costs are amazingly inexpensive!
I recently joined as a member signing up my entire family - great fun for us all. I look forward to a long and enjoyable association with this club - I highly recommend you give it a try.

Michael Boland Eugene Oregon Member 2-5 Visits Reviewed 06/07/2006 | I’m new to trap shooting. Members and staff have been very friendly and helpful. Grounds are very well groomed and clean. Super large clubhouse. Food is great and reasonable. |
Bob Dodd Eugene, OR Member More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | 12 event traps, one practice trap, Canterbury voice calls, two skeet field overlays, 5 stand every third Sunday but may soon be increased to every other Sunday. Grounds have many electric and water RV positions and an excellant kitchen generally open during shooting hours. Spacious club house. The club throws PITA State Shoots on rotation, has hosted the ATA State Shoot, and generally does an very good job of hosting registered trapshoots. |
