Harry & Julia Williams West Linn Oregon Visitor Once Reviewed 01/09/2012 | Highly recommend-5 Stars! Nice friendly, clean, and well organized place to shoot or learn to shoot. We visited with our extended family having various degrees of firearm proficiency and everyone felt comfortable and had a great time. Stephen and Suzanne were very helpful and patient sharing their wealth of experience and knowledge. We can't wait to go back. |
Ed Squires Corvallis, Oregon Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 11/15/2011 | Stephen has made this a great place to shoot with challenging and varied presentations. Much better than other clubs in Tucson and Louisville that I have visited in the past year. The club is well organized and takes an interest in all the shooters regardless of experience level. Suzanne, in particular seems to "go the extra mile" to help everyone.
The Beretta Line of guns and clothing, etc. adds to the complete experience.
Thanks Stephen for moving this club to a level of excellence! |
Adam Tallinger Salem, OR Visitor Once Reviewed 09/28/2011 | As someone new to shooting sports, the staff at Mitchells were both friendly and helpful. They helped get me and my boys set up for trap shooting then even came out, pulled for us and gave us a few pointers. We will definitely be back for more fun! |
Paul Cheney Hillsboro, OR Visitor Once Reviewed 09/28/2011 | As a first time visitor I was immediately impressed with the clean and professional atmosphere. Great proshop, attentive service and very interesting range layout. The management is topnotch and very welcoming to folks new to the sport and the place is dog friendly to boot! I look forward to going back many times. I highly recommend this place. |
Simmons Canby, OR Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 08/23/2011 | Very well run facility with a friendly, fun, knowledgeable staff that is always willing to help in any way possible. Saturdays are perfect for women with a discounted rate on the sporting clays course. Excellent variety of targets that change nearly weekly so you feel like you're on a different course each time you're there. Great for beginners and youth as well. Highly recommend this facility. |
Tank Birdfinder Portland OR, 97229 Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 08/02/2011 | Top notch sporting clay course. Stephen and Suzanne run a tight ship and the friendly staff are always willing to help out. My dad and I are becoming regulars because we enjoy the sporting clays and that fact the course is always changing. Highly recommend going here if you are looking for a clean, friendly atmosphere that welcomes all abilities, and enjoys camaraderie. It's a little busy right at opening, we usually postpone our start until 30 minutes after opening or more. |
Michael & Melanie Scappoose, Oregon Member 6-10 Visits Reviewed 06/27/2011 | Great facility. Stephan and crew are organized and the facility is maintained and well-run. We took a skeet lesson from Stephan Parks; it was well worth the money and really helped improve our scores. Lunch is served on Sundays, though we never seem to make it on time. Love the Beretta room and the well stocked Pro shop! |
David Martin Landgren Camas Member Once Reviewed 01/24/2011 | My wife and I have only been there once and we joined right away awesome staff and great layout we are both veterans at trap but love the challenge of the sporting clay course very friendly members and dog friendly. We recommend this place to anyone from beginner to expert. |

George Doi III Spokane, WA Visitor Once Reviewed 07/26/2008 | Very Very Nice Facilities. They have a "Pro" shop and Snack Bar facilities with a very professional atmosphere. Friendly Staff and Members. I shot my First round of Sporting Clays here. Nice presentations, good variety of targets. Will be back here for sure! |
Carpenter Hillsboro, Oregon Visitor Once Reviewed 04/27/2008 | Outstanding. Friendly staff, explained how they set things up, handed us a counter, we had a problem with one of the stations, no questions asked. My co-shooter even decided some lesson would work well next weekend. VERY FRIENDLY to new beginners and quite an interesting course for the seasoned pro. Reasonably priced and laid back with safety as long as you follow the rules. I would truly recommend having tried several of these. Go for dust, but if not just bust! |
Brian scott salem oregon Visitor Once Reviewed 02/06/2008 | My son and I visited on 2/3/08 and had a great experience,as we are rookies in this sport with no experience at all, the staff took the time to get us started and get us going in the right direction and very friendly and helpful while doing so. Even all the members that where there where helpful and friendly to us noobs. I think we found a new hobby ! |
Mickey Barrett Canyon Lake Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 01/17/2008 | These folks are first class and most accommodating. Dan is a fantastic instructor and a friend from day one. He has done a great job on his facilities as well. I always look forward to shooting at Dan's place.
Steve Parks ( known as "SPARKS" ) has a great pro shop and can fit you with a gun quite well. He was very helpful in getting my new Beretta 391 located back in to the difficult state of California. |
joseph jones woodburn, oregon Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 05/12/2007 | I have found the Mitchell's clay target sports center to be the premier sporting clays center as well as a great beretta shotgun sales center , the class of clientele are world class and i could not suggest a better place to go and shoot or buy long guns. |
John C. Scranton White Salmon, WA Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 04/02/2007 | Dan runs a first rate facility. I drive 2 hours one way to shoot Sporting Clays. He always has a very interesting layout. The pro shop is very well appointed. I have purchased several items so far.
I would suggest taking lessons from Dan or his staff. Dan helped me deal with a vision issue. |
John Svensson Seaside, Oregon Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 05/16/2006 | Excellent facilities with lots of different shoots. It features sporting clays, skeet, trap, and a new wobble skeet shooting area. Dan will set up all sorts of interesting challenges through the year. The sporting shop is quite good. I usually travel to Mitchell's Clays by myself and have had no trouble finding a group to shoot with.
I took my hit 1 in 25 shooter, my daughter. Dan got her to hit 15 out of 25 in just one lesson and told her where to buy a new shotgun in Washington. She was extremely pleased with the instruction. I have had lessons and they have helped me shoot better. |
Eric Myers Vancouver, WA Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 01/13/2006 | I have been going down to Mitchell's for just under a year now. I have nothing but good things to say about the staff and grounds of Mittchells'. I would recomend any one to make the drive down to Gervias. Especially those who are new to the sport. The staff is very welcoming to beginners. |
art&lynn rossi plymouth, ma Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Great place to shoot. We lived in oregon 2 years ago. Dan & Patsy are great. |
