Mike South River NJ Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 01/09/2012 | Excellent facilities, well-maintained. Bring a camera! Two courses to shoot for beginners and advanced. Some of the advanced stands need tighter chokes. Most of the easier course can be shot with smaller gauge guns with no problem. Well-worth the trip! Wish we lived closer, we'd be there weekly. |
JohnS York,PA Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 10/27/2011 | Wonderful course with a very helpful staff. Wish I lived closer so I could shoot there more often. |
Phil N. Mountain Lakes NJ Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 10/20/2011 | Excellent facility and operation. Friendly and well laid out. Reasonable rates and good availability. |
Pete Imperiale Lumberton nj Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 04/04/2011 | There is no place in the tri-state area that shows you target presentations like Lehigh. The people treat you great and it's always a fun day at Lehigh. |
JRS York, PA Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 11/21/2010 | An extremely nice facility and fun course. Done well all the way around with great presentations, well stocked store, interesting surroundings, and a friendly staff. There is an 'A' and a 'B' course for differing levels of skill. Great fun to be had and this course gets my highest recommendation. |
Tom Hendry Brigham City Utah Visitor Once Reviewed 10/27/2010 | What an awesome place If anyone comes out here from Utah or surrounding areas we highly suggest visiting this awesome place shooting here is out standing, and just right out beautiful. I will be coming back on my next trip out here thank you. |
Tom Brys Visitor Once Reviewed 08/01/2010 | First time and I will definitely be back! The staff are really approachable and helpful. Ammo was cheaper than the stores. In fact all prices were very reasonable. If you have not been there, you need to go. |
Chris Reading PA Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 07/19/2010 | On the recommendation of a friend, I made arrangements for a private lesson, as my wife and I are novices. I was totally impressed with the knowledge and friendly approach the staff and instructor showed us. Fantastic course and grounds. I highly recommend this facility to all my friends. We will be a regular at this course. |
Mike Bethlehem PA Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 04/09/2010 | I visited them for the first time on a recommendation of a friend. It was everything he said it was and I had a great time! The people were friendly and willing to help a newcomer. A month later I came back with my father who is in his late 60's. The golf carts made for a pleasant day. I will be back soon. Thanks. |
Michael O'Connor Fogelsville, PA Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 03/17/2010 | I shoot LVSC every weekend and it is AWESOME. Rarely does a target not work and the machines NEVER run out of clays. The Facility is spotless and the staff is GREAT! There is a staff member riding around continuously!
Reserve a cart early if you need one because they run out fast. Sunday is the busiest day and you can wait 10 -15 minutes for a station if you get there at the wrong time. |
Jefffrey Kemmerer Allentown, PA Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 01/31/2010 | Continuously improving - Fortunately I live 10 minutes away and am a frequent shooter. I can affirm all of the positive comments about the setting, targets and staff. I did not get there over the holidays and this weekend was pleasantly surprised to see that two mid-course fire pits were added. A quick break around a warm fire felt great on a cold damp day. Just another example of the attention to detail in this first class operation. |
john pine levittown,pa. Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 12/04/2009 | I visited Lehigh valley sporting clays a little over a year ago and have been a frequent visitor ever since. This is by far the best shooting facility I have visited. The facility is accommodating in every way.
The staff is friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and work at making your day fun.the courses are challenging and presentations are changed from time to time to keep you sharp. The site itself is a abandoned quarry that has you shooting over water, through concrete towers, even clays coming through windows. The place is well maintained, clean and scenic.
The club house is stocked with shooting supplies as well as hot coffee
cold drinks and snacks. If you enjoy shooting clays you will like Lehigh. I travel 140 miles round trip to get there and look forward to many more trips. |
J.R. Stein York, PA Visitor Once Reviewed 10/31/2009 | I have only one thing to say about LVSC....AWESOME! I just got back from a corporate shoot and every single thing about this club impressed me. Great presentations....beautiful facility, interesting course with lots to offer everyone from experienced to novice. Simply stunning facility. I live 2hrs away and I plan on coming back several times!! |
Brian Engle Douglassville PA Visitor Once Reviewed 05/05/2009 | What a great layout. Had a great time shooting the sporting clay course. Perfect mix of targets to challenge new and advanced shooters. Worth checking out!! |
steve clarke glen burnie, maryland Visitor Once Reviewed 11/30/2008 | I am from Glen Burnie, Maryland. It took me approx. 3 hours to get to your club. It was worth every minute. Your course was the most spectacular & scenic courses that I have ever experienced. The shear rock cliffs towering approx. 100 ft. throwing a clay bird from the top left to right ending in the quarry was a real challenge. I also liked the old stone building's around the course. The clay's came out of the window's & across the tops of the concrete building's. We shot the level A course. Please be prepared to get challenged, it wasn't an easy course, but a heck of a lot of fun. Thanks again |
Nadine Roberts Andover New Jersey Visitor Once Reviewed 09/22/2008 | This is the best course I have shot - My husband and I have been going to Pocono Manor and a friend told us to try Lehigh Vally that we wouldn't be sorry - Well this was the greatest - We came this past weekend and couldn't believe how they cater to the shooter - Water - Rest Rooms - Club House - Clean - Carts for your equipment and Employees are soooo nice - not to say the course is outstanding - I guess we have found a shooting home - We plan to make our visits frequent! THANK YOU |
Rick Mills Pittsville, MD Visitor Once Reviewed 08/10/2008 | One of the best places I have shot. Very nice employees. The course is paved. Some targets are over a old quarry filled with water. These were nice long incoming shots. Then a few were shooting around the remnants of old buildings. One shot is incoming straight at you through a window. Course is pulled by the shooters via a remote that plugs into each station. Five stand was great as well. Very reasonable rates, went on Thursday and received a discount on that day. Will be making many trips here in the future. |
John F. Gdula Brooklyn, New York Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 07/26/2008 | My friends and I, usually four to six shooters are regulars here at LVSC. We started coming in 2005, becoming members early on. Even though the drive is long, about 105 miles, and gas is expensive, we shoot here because of the excellent facilities and courteous staff. Laura, Jen and Chris always greet us with a smile and a waiting golf cart. Since the pathways were paved last year, riding from station to station has been extremely smooth and safe. The presentations at both the "A" and "B" venues are changed regularly to provide and maintain a challenging session. There are some "A" stations that cause me to utter an occasional *&*$@#^(*, but I'm working on hitting them. Being able to help yourself to hot coffee, grilled franks and cold drinks all day long is a big plus, plus the comfortable clubhouse facilities encourage one to sit down and "take five." All in all, we shoot here twenty to twenty five times yearly, now you know why. |
Shawn Hawkey Coopersburg , Pennsylvania Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 07/22/2008 | I shoot at Lehigh Valley once a week. I have shot a lot of courses around northeast Pa and this one, is by far the best one i have shot at thus far. Two stands per station. A for advanced and B for beginner so the chances of log jams are slim depending on what station you wish to shoot. The scenery is second to none. Shooting over an old quarry hole while fish are swimming below you. Paved paths throughout. Golf cart rentals for people with limited mobility or, if you have a big group shooting with you. The prices are definitely second to none. Beautiful clubhouse. Loaner guns. Very friendly and experienced staff. If for some reason you have a problem with anything on the course, the staff is always there to take care of any problems that may arise. I could go on and on but, Lehigh Valley is something that needs to be experienced by everyone who has a passion for the shooting sports to be able to do this beautiful facility any justice !!! |
Vincent Flauto Queens, NY Visitor Once Reviewed 05/25/2008 | Really Nice facility!! Just Go,you won't be sorry you did! Great layout and tournament quality targets. Carts, service and clubhouse top notch! I'll be back!

Kabir North Brunswick, NJ Visitor Once Reviewed 04/09/2008 | Great place, nice and clean with good targets. Have two setups for each station A for advanced and B for beginners. |
TMOK Closter, NJ Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 01/12/2008 | Ssssh! Best kept secret.
This is the best Sporting Clay course around the New York City area, I've been to most Sporting Clay course within 175 miles from 07624 NJ and believe me this is the best out there.
Rock Mountain is top notch also but the drive is too much for me.
Lehigh Valley offers food, drink, clean facilities and well maintained carts available for rental.
The people are courteous and friendly, you won't be disappointed. |
Sean Macungie, PA Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 08/27/2007 | This is truly one of the best sporting clay clubs I have been to. I am fortunate that it is in my "backyard". The course is set around an abandoned mill & quarry with fantastic shots across the water or incorporating some of the old structures. There a great mixture of looks and angles, which are changed often to keep shooting there fresh and challenging. Also they have both beginner and advanced shooter options at each station so it is a good time for everyone! |
William Phelan New York, NY Visitor Once Reviewed 05/21/2007 | Fantastic facility! I went there with a group of people to attend Bill Kelsey's Fun Shoot; which was very well put together. This place offers great customer service, very good ammo and excellent gun rentals. Definitely worth the drive from New York City. |
Ted Hutler Forked River, NJ Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 07/18/2006 | This place is great! My daughter & son-in-law live in Quakerstown and this is just a short drive to a first class facility. You get different looks from not only the diverse stations; but also from the novice/intermediate & expert stations. Its a nice walk; scenic and well maintained. It's certainly challanging and I look forward to many more trips to the Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays. I found all the shooters to be courteous; with the slower one (larger groups) allowing a two-some to play through. Can't wait to return. |
Jay Martyn Bath, PA Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 06/25/2006 | This is a top shelf course! It is an excellent place to learn and refine your shooting skills. Instruction is available and participation with women and youth is encouraged. There are presentations at this course that are unique and challenging for even the finest shooters. The shots over the quarry are really fun. Guns and ammo are available and carts can be rented. A comprehensive pre-shoot instruction session is free for first timers. See you there! |
Rich Fox Manville, NJ Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 12/03/2005 | The facility is setup in a way that presents targets for both the novice and skilled sportsman. There are two houses per station; one for beginner and one for advanced. If you shoot alone, the targets can be programmed to launch 3 seconds after called. If you shoot with a partner, they can be called as singles or doubles. The staff is very friendly and the facility is among an abandoned limestone quarry which makes the whole thing worth a trip.
Lucky me, my in-laws moved to the Coplay area and now when my wife tells me we are going to her parents, I jump in the car smiling with a shotgun by my side... |
Pete Imperiale Lumberton NJ Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Lehigh Valley is set up over a old mining/cement factory. There is no other place you can shoot targets in and around old cement buildings. They have targets across ponds, field and woods targets. This is the place everyone has to go to!!!! |
Patrick Hogan Philadelphia, PA Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Lehigh Valley is a first class sporting clays course. It is situated on the ruins of an old cement factory, which give it some unique opportunities for presentation around the old buildings. There is also an old quarry that has filled with water and provides some nice over water shots. There is a good mix of shot presentations and include targets in the trees, over brush, below the shooter and in among the buildings. The shooting stations are well constructed and maintained. It is unusual to find a trap that is not working and “no birds” are an infrequent occurrence. The course has multiple shooting locations for different degrees of difficulty for each station. Cart paths are gravel and are fairly smooth and dry on all but the wettest days. Trappers are usually available, but if you prefer you can shoot without one. |
