Alex Paterson Nj Visitor Once Reviewed 07/27/2011 | It was an experience I won't forget, I had a great time with all the guns that I fired, planing a work group to take them there they never been to sunset hills, were coming from Levittown Pa see ya soon.. |
Aram D Pocono Lake, PA Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 02/09/2011 | Excellent place for Open Range, they welcome any guys, price for range as a member is $10 for all day how can u go wrong. plus they open all year around. |
Anthony NY, NY Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 07/12/2010 | Great place to spend the day and just practice. With trained instructors it makes the first time visitor very relaxed. Looking forward to continue shooting here in the near future. |
David Lester Lake Ariel PA Visitor Once Reviewed 03/12/2009 | I called and asked if they had trap fields and they said three. There were three machines not fields. There are no trap fields at all no five stand it was 38.00 for 2 rounds and two boxes off shells beyond expensive. For shot gun sports they really have nothing a couple machines you load yourself. |
Patricia O Hackettstown, New Jersey Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 07/03/2008 | Sunset Hills is very well run with good customer service and a strong focus on safety. All new visitors, bringing their own firearms, need to go through a short safety training program before being allowed to use the range, and instructors are available whether using your own firearms or renting from their diverse selection.
This range is very welcoming and helpful to beginners.
Another posting erroneously mentioned skeet shooting. This range has trap, not skeet. |
Brian Scanlon Limerick Ireland Visitor Once Reviewed 05/05/2007 | Our trip to the shooting range was the best day we had out of our week long stay in New York. Four of us went for the day and fired every sort of gun that was there. Our instructor Jason was really down to earth and made our time there even better. Being from Ireland the only guns we saw were in the movies. Rambo eat your heart out. Cant wait to visit again. I would highly recommend this place. The best day yet. THANKS TO Jason and all the staff. The Irish lads. |
Dan Binghamton, NY Visitor Once Reviewed 09/16/2006 | This place is great. Im from Upstate NY, but was in the area and decided to check it out, it was well worth it. How many people can say they have shot a 9mm Glock, a .45, an AK-47, an M-16 and a .50 cal. revolver all in the span of about 30 minutes? No one I know! Ive always wanted to go shooting and this place made it happen. It was also great due to the staff. Our instructor, Adam, was cool as shit. Cant wait to make it back that way. Now only if they had a range like this near me. |
Scott Washingtonville, N.Y. Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 08/28/2006 | We go to the range every time we take a trip to Camelbeach. This range is very well operated and safe the staff is very helpful. If you a first time shooter or a long timer you will enjoy your stay. Looking forward to my next trip. |
Jason Clinton, New Jersey Visitor Once Reviewed 08/28/2006 | Just went this past weekend and had a great experience. Staff is professional, well-trained and very helpful. Great selection of firearms to choose from and short wait times. Thanks! |
IGGY New York, NY Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Sunset Hill SHooting is the best.
The staff is nice and very friendly. If you want to learn, they will teach, not just let you shoot off (you can do that too, just safely).
Jim is the man!!
Their collection is also very intense.
I go there all the time. |
Charlie Vail Stroudsburg, Pa Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | I have found the sunset Shooting Range to be a great place for shooters.
Whether you enjoy Trap, rifle or handgun, you will not be dissapointed.
They have a large selection of guns and rifles for begginers, and the experienced shooter. The staff, I have found, are very friendly, and knowledgeable. Sunset also has a very nice pro shop, and the prices are very reasonable. I am sure you will agree with me one visit, and you will be hooked. |
Christopher Rice Pocono Lake PA Member 6-10 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | This range is perfect for beginners and everyday shooters. They have a large assortment of guns to choose to shoot (which they have personal trainers to show you how to fire) and a very nice area for people who bring their own firearms. The rifle range varies to about 300 yards and they also offer a handgun range and skeet shooting. They also have a nice proshop on the premises for ammo and other equiptment. |
