Today was my first trip to Alpine and it was great!!! People where friendly and answered several absurd questions with a straight face. I will say this for people such as myself used to going to ranges with no more that 50 people there on a busy day, Alpine took a little getting used to. I would recommend it to anyone who simply wants to go shoot in a relaxed atmosphere. But be sure to bring your own ammo, it's pricey there.

Alpine is a good range. Been there several times and always have a good time. Never a wait or a bad spot. I would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to have some fun, target shooting, clays etc.....

I love Alpine Range. Alpine is the best range I have ever visited. They have excellent skeet shooting and the customer service is great. With very friendly staff alpine makes the perfect environment to have a great time and it is affordable. The staff is not stuck up like most places.

Over the years, prices have increased dramatically; service, esp at the counter is poor, bordering on rude; safety and skeet rules and etiquette are non-existent and not enforced by any of the staff even after repeated requests. With too many people on skeet fields at one time, and unchecked unsafe handling of the casual shooter(s), someone will eventually get hurt.
Most often, the throwers are not working properly if at all; the place is falling apart... and they all know it.
Every visit, I've witnessed customers lodging complaints. Still this remains busy as it is the only ace$$able facility in FW area.

Good old Alpine what can I say? I'm a fan, I grew up five minutes from there and shot my first gun there. After living out of state two years I took my first visit there in a while last Wednesday. I brought along two of my nephews who were visiting from Michigan. We all had a great time and the targets were a good mix, "sporting" if you will. The experienced gunner will find enough to keep him interested but the course won't beat up the beginner too bad.

The only negatives I can find is I wish the course had pay-n-play automation with delay so you could pull your own, though I still enjoy the fact that they have trappers. Mayo went out with us and he was a good kid, friendly. Also, they have some of the highest ammo prices I have seen, ever, $110 a case for Fiocchi's. Probably not all their fault though, but they should seek out and offer a lower priced alternative.

I'm a frequent customer. Alpine is a very friendly, relaxed operation. The Skeet and 5-Stand are not always calibrated or working correctly, but the Sporting Clays course is definitely their main game. The shooting prices are unbeatable probably anywhere in the country, and the people are not uptight like range off Luna Road over in Dallas...I recommend Alpine for anyone who wants to get into shooting but doesn't want to feel the stress of the self-absorbed, big-shot shooters all around.

I had a great time visiting the Alpine Range. Very nice people run it. I'd recommend visiting unless you are a perfectionist skeet shooter: Both of the two skeet ranges were throwing targets well outside of the stake and not on the line, so bring your relaxed game and a sense of humor. I just shot skeet, so can't comment on the 5-stand or sporting clays courses. Several rental shotguns were available and they have a variety of ammo for sale. Pullers available. I'll visit again and shoot the sporting course next time. The retail store was very well stocked with a wide variety of products, including guns, ammo, components, cleaning supplies, cases, hunting and shooting clothing, etc.

Neat sporting course. They provide a person to cart you around, throw the targets and keep your score. They were very nice and friendly.

We also shot 5 stand and 2 of the traps were not working. Wasn't a big deal because they just allowed you to call your own targets but it would've been nice to know up front.

We will go back...

I just wanted to say a real big Thank You to the people at Alpine for hosting the SCTP State Championships on such a short notice. They did an excellent job accommodating the shooters, juggling other commitments of their own and helping the kids get their rounds in. A real big THANKS goes out to these people. They are always helpful and willing to help. We have shot there several times and they are great people to be associated with.
