dick cameron spring texas Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 01/30/2009 | I shoot skeet at carters almost on a weekly basis. Its a great place to shoot and shop. There new store can't be beat. Most folks need good advice when buying a firearm, and there its easy to come by. |

Reviewed 01/09/2009 | I would just like to say thanks for you all to take the time out to compliment our place. We try very hard to make it the best for all customers! Once again I would just like to say thanks and I am glad to have you all as faithful customers! See you out at the range. |
Charlie Cooper Prairie City,Iowa Visitor Once Reviewed 09/04/2008 | This was my first visit to Carter's country gun range. Very impressive. From the minute I got out of the car I new this was my kind of place. Carter's Country makes the gun ranges here in Iowa look like childs play. Next time I visit my friends in Spring Texas I will be sure and include a visit to your gun range. Job well done. |
Lee Verden Willis, Texas 77318 Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 08/29/2007 | I have shot thousands of birds at this facility, and I still shoot
there most every sunday morning with the same group of guys down on
# 5. All you guys know who you are, so theres no point in names.
They have some very old throwers and the clays go generally across
the field, we call it sporting skeet! If just want to shoot, and have some fun breaking some clays, it's a good place to go. Its in the shad mostly, and you're close to your truck so you can get a drink from your cooler, grab another box of shells, or change guns without having to
walk a hundred yards.
We bring a few snacks and drinks for after the shoot, we visit some more and tell lies. The place has been around for ever and probably will continue the same. Its good place to just shoot targets and shoot the bull, and if you don't shoot good, then what the hey!! |
Dick Amabile New Caney, TX Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | This is a top notch facility. Range safety is constantly monitored and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. The store itself caters to those serious about shooting sports, but is also an excellent place for a beginner in the sports to start. The staff in the store are some of the nicest, most helpful, most knowledgeable people I have ever met in shooting sports. They are honest, straightforward and experienced. If you ask a question, there is usually someone on the staff who can give you an answer that is based on solid experience and insight, even if it means they don't make a sale. On more than one occassion, I have asked questions about a possible purchase to be told that my planned acquisition probably wouldn't work for its intended use. On some occassions solid advice on alternatives is offered. On other occassions, I am told the honest truth that no product currently on the market will do what I am asking for. They lose a sale on the product I was inquiring about. But, they gain MANY other sales from me because I know I can trust them to tell the truth and not simply try to make a quick sale. They are clearly more interested in having satisfied, repeat customers than in making one time sales. This is the kind of group I will always go back to. I have purchased shooting supplies around the USA and Carters Country is in a league of its own.
If you haven't been there, I suggest you go. It is not the typical "superstore" atmosphere. But you probably stand a 90% chance of finding what you need, at prices at least as good (if not better) than the superstores. The other nice thing is that if they don't have it and it is what you really need, they will order it for you.
Carter's Country is truly a "special" place for shooting and for purchasing shooting/hunting supplies. |
