My wife, son and I went to the range to shoot skeet. While on the range, the assistant operating the skeet shoot suggested that my wife talk to the gun smith inside about her shot gun. While we were in the office with 20 to 25 other people inside this rude, arrogant guy behind the desks says to her, "the problem is not the gun, it's that you absolutely know nothing about what you are doing. I also witnessed his doing the same with other people. She was humiliated and we never returned. I have never in my life seen a more rude, arrogant person in my life. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Cedar Ridge is the most convenient and fun places to shoot in San Antonio. We have another club "San Antonio Gun Club" but it does not have a sporting clay course. Greg and his family run this safe and friendly establishment extremely well. When my family and I are not out dove or quail hunting we find our way over almost every weekend. I can safely say we shoot out there 30 weekends a year. I highly recommend this club!

We shoot here on a regular basis and THE PLACE IS FIRST CLASS. Warm and friendly in the office and we always enjoy petting the dogs. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for a home to shoot!

1. The owner answered the phone and gave me great directions to the club house.
2. I was the only one shooting a shotgun and shot there 5 stand. Setup was challenging and fun.
3. They have set up for Pistols, Rifles, and shotguns.
Scale 1 to 5,
a. Location - 5, no one will be building around this place for a real long time.
b Equipment - 4, Old but well maintained. They have lots of spare traps if one goes down.
c. Club House - 2, There really is no club house. They sell what most of there locale shooters needs. No Frills
d. Friendliness - 5 Shooters and owners were extremely friendly.

My brother and I visited this range, this past weekend, and shot all three shotgun ranges (Skeet, 5 Stand & Sporting). The 5 Stand was challenging and had medium to difficult presentations for intermidate shooters like my brother and I. The Skeet range consisted of a single range but did not have a waiting line. The sporting clays was in a brush (cedar & oak) type setting with challenging but fun shot setups that are changed, I am told, on a monthly basis. I would have preferred more stations (at least 10 instead of 5) but it made for a short walk in the beautiful hill country. We talked to the owner and they do provide lessons for a reasonable hourly rate. I would recommend this range to my friends and we will visit again.

Cedar Ridge has five stand and sporting almost has a skeet field open as of 1-06.
Has Rifle and handgun bays for shooting. Several competition clubs have monthly weekend shoots for handgun. I have one club that shoots action style / Steel Challenge matches the first Sunday of the month. Other clubs shoot too on seperate weekends. The range is best run, safest range in the area. NO playing, only safe handling allowed.
Greg Ferris is the owner. Closed mon-tue open noon on W,T F 9am on weekends
