My first visit to Sussex since Dick Weis began operating the facility, and we were impressed with the great improvements he has implemented. Dick also personally greeted us and gave us the "nickel tour" before we began our rounds. The courses were excellent. I had a novice with me and she had a great day, and there are some targets I will need to go back and "revisit" - so we liked the presentations, especially the waterfowl course - lots of interesting shots over water structures. This is now on our top list as a shooting venue.

Our three state group of 10 made our october 9, 10, 11th shoot at sussex shooting sports. Some of us were able to shoot 700 rounds. The average was about 500 rounds for the weekend. As usual the hospitality was top notch. Either before or after your shoot go to the Virginia dinner for a good meal. We plan to be back for spring shoot. Now back to the reloading bench.

Myself and a friend started in 1992, making a one-day trip twice a year to Sussex Shooting Sport. Over the years the group has grown to about 10 guys. With the trip being about 230 miles, five years ago we decided to make a three-day weekend twice a year. We plan on shooting about 400-500 rounds each for the three days. The group has people from PA, MD and NC. The range has always been under great management. Dick Wise has done the most with the range. The sporting clay range has all automatic traps. Dick Wise is always prompt on returning calls. It is the real deal in Sporting Clay Ranges. There you get the most bang for your buck.

Super Facility. A little bit of a drive for me to get there but very much worth the ride. I am a novice and the staff was both helpful and patient with me. I learned a lot all the while having a great time. Try it and I bet you return like I intend to!

This is one of the best sporting clays facilities I have ever visited. They take meticulous care of the range and always insure the shooters have fun. Unlike some other ranges in the area You will really feel welcome here. Highly recommend.

This is a prime sporting clay club, loved all the stands, wobble, etc. Different than any course I had ever been. Highly recommend anyone going that way to stop and try it. You will see. Anytime I'm within an hours drive I'm there.

My two sons and I visited the Sussex Shooting Club today for the first time. We shot 100 rounds on the sporting clay course and had a wonderful time. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. This is certainly a place we will visit again.

As a first time shooter, I was very happy with my visit to Sussex Shooting Sports. I am hooked and can't wait till my next visit. Steve Travis was very knowledgeable and his instruction was very easy to follow. The facilities were great and scenery was beautiful.

My brother and I had an opportunity to take lessons from Steve Travis at Sussex Shooting Sports. Steve rates were very affordable and he provided excellent instruction. The range had a diverse set of traps, including many over water, which I found very satisfying. I would highly recommend stopping by to see Steve and ask him to show you the rabbit bird double on the back side of the course, I can’t get that trap out of mind while sitting at work.

My boy scout troop visited there this past weekend and we were amazed of this facility. The hospitality of the staff / owners was great. We used the Five Stand most of the day and our boys as well as adult leaders had a blast! (no pun intended) They can't wait to return. The future of this facility can only get better. These folks have a lot of near future plans for this area, to include a new state of the art 3D archery range, large clubhouse and screened pavilion. I definitely would recommend that everyone visit this facility.
