Charlie's got a nice operation going. He is strictly clays now. He let his skeet field go to seed and sold off the machines. He wasn't getting enough business with it. But if you like sporting clays, you must stop in and enjoy. Call and go visit him. Nicest fella you'll meet. Nice place.

We shot in March of 2008 right after the flooding in the Midwest. In spite of rising water, Charles junior moved a couple of trap machines so we could shoot and stay dry. Good targets, nice clubhouse. Charles senior, the owner stopped by to say hello. Easy to find just east of Stuttgart, Arkansas. Good folks. Have fun.

WHAT A GREAT PLACE to shoot & spend the day. I first visited Sanders in fall of 2000. Since then I've only been able to get back down there 4 times. One of those was yesterday, when I took some of my Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports team kids out for a day of sporting clays, a cookout & picnic & then more clays. Charles Jr. (Quail) & Charles Sr. have a great facility on a beautiful little spot, on the banks & in a bend of the LaGrue bayou. These two guys had everything ready, covered pavilion, grill, targets loaded, traps set, the course was ready to go! All we had to do, was to get our group of 23 off & unloaded, a quick restroom break, & we hit the course. This was a fun day tournament & a reward for all their had work, over the past year. Unfortunately about 15 kids couldn't attend, but I know the ones that did, will be going back & telling the ones that didn't, what a great time they had & what a cool place this was & how much fun they had. They're already asking, WHEN CAN WE DO THIS AGAIN!!!
Charles & his dad showed us a great time. Their course is not overly large, but it is always challenging, interesting, often changed, with a target added or dropped here or there, to keep you on your toes.
It's always a fun & beautiful place to go any time of the year.
I was also told, that as soon as it drys up a little, they will be extending their course on around the property to wind up back at the club house. This should double the course in size & I can't wait to shoot it, nor can my kids!!!
GO SEE UM & HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!
