Bradley Cook Rochester, MI Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 08/21/2009 | The club is going through a transition at the moment to a new operator, so the folks mentioned in a previous review are no longer there. Essentially, the shooting and fishing portion of the ranch have split from the lodging and horses. The course is beautiful with a nice variety of shooting situations. I will be going back again tomorrow! Officially the new operator will take control on September 1st, 2009, but in reality that has already taken place. The website has not been updated in about 3 years, so don't look to it for accurate pricing. 12 stations and you can shoot a 100 or 120 rds. 5-stand is also available and I may try it tomorrow. Reasonable prices (same as I pay in MI)... $40/100rds. Rental guns and everything else you may need while on vacation is available in the clubhouse. |
Rudy Mazariegos Silver Spring, MD Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 07/15/2009 | Great place to shoot. Has one five stand with nicely hidden throwers. Creative placement of throwers on 12 station sporting clays course with beautiful backdrops and scenery. No golf carts or ATVs so must walk course. Once you leave RT 131, it takes another 15 minutes on dirt roads. Clubhouse has basic amenities. |
Koral Shook Rock Springs, Wyoming Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 10/01/2008 | Piney Valley Ranch is a place I go to find peace, fun, and great people. The service is perfect and the setting is beautiful; a real chance to relax while doing something that is completely enjoyable. I have visited a few times and even rode around with the staff. Each time I have a blast, but more importantly I hear laughing in the distance and see smiles on faces. The manager of this place sure does a great job. Between him and his little sister, these red heads are out to make sure you have an unforgettable time. |
Larry Didway Galesburg Illinois Visitor Once Reviewed 07/09/2008 | This facility is a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the trip. Amazing scenery along the way and that continues once you arrive and start down the pathways. Of course, it didn't hurt that there were a couple of cute young girls there to assist you with directions, answer questions, sell ammo, or run the 5-stand. The twelve station course was fun and scenic and had all electric traps. The 5-stand had 8 traps and was challenging. I want to go back if I get a chance. Rate for non-members Sporting Clays was $40.00 and for 5-Stand $13.00 |
Doug New York Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 03/05/2006 | A beautiful course with terrific mountain views. Lots of walking and climbing up and down steps to the bottom of the valley and then back up. But well worth the climb! Course is all electronic with a variety of challenging presentations. The clubhouse is small, but has nice Beretta rental guns and ammo (no vests, though). It's a nice drive down a dirt road from the main road to get here. They also offer bird hunting in seasons. |
