Mark Huffington Canon City, CO Visitor Once Reviewed 01/31/2010 | My two sons and a friend tried a $175 each hunt on January 30, 2010. RMR did not offer or supply a guide and a dog. Only 6 pheasants, plenty of sparrows, and no quail were seen. 4 of the 6 pheasants were shot and bagged. The quarter section used by the group was thoroughly covered twice, which had limited cover. The six pheasants could be seen on the ground up to 50 yards away, which didn't surprise me since these were farm birds. After over 30 years of upland game hunting in Colorado, Kansas, and Nebraska, we expected much more for a winter aftenoon pheasant hunt using farm birds. We will never hunt or waste our hard earned dollars at RMR. Their customer service was terrible and they admitted that they've had similar complaints over the years and did nothing to correct our situation exept to reduce the cost to $100 each gun, which made for $75 per shot and bagged bird and $50 per seen bird. Contrary to their start and end of day reteric, there were no more birds on that quarter section.
