T. Wall Norman, OK Visitor Once Reviewed 07/09/2011 | My first time shooting sporting clays was a great experience. The Silverleaf staff was extremely helpful explaining everything. They even took us out and showed us how everything worked and then checked on us about halfway through. We only had one equipment malfunction that they quickly corrected. The facilities and equipment were extremely nice and well-maintained. There were no broken clays thrown through four rounds. Thanks, Silverleaf. We will be back. |
Michael Allums Universal City, TX Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 06/04/2011 | I've shot here several times in the past 6-8 years with my one or both of my brothers. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we started to make a special yearly trip just to shoot at this facility. Apparently - either they have gone out-of-business or have closed shop - as they will no longer longer answer any email inquiries as to their hours of operation, cost to shoot, etc.
I have no doubt that they know who I am when I send my email as - to my knowledge - we are the only three (3) brothers who travel so far just to spend 1-2 days shooting clay targets.
This WAS a great and friendly place to shot; matter-of-fact, probably the nicest in all of the southern states.
We are not competitive shooters, just three brothers who started what we hoped was to become an annual outing.
Can you recommend somewhere in the Oklahoma City area that has any or all of the following: Wobble, Skeet, Trap, Sporting Clays? And that does not require membership as two of us live out-of-state???? |
Marty Beck Norman, Ok Visitor Once Reviewed 06/28/2010 | Friendly, courteous staff made our first experience at Silverleaf on June 12th, a great time. I'll definitely be back with more friends. |
Mac Swindell Piedmont, OK Visitor Once Reviewed 11/05/2009 | Nothing but (very) high marks for Silverleaf. The setting is impeccable. The equipment is all well-maintained, and the course is well laid-out and well marked. The overall experience was fantastic. It's also very family-friendly. Silverleaf is family-owned and operated. The pride of the operation and love of the sport definitely differentiates. Can't wait to get back! |
Tyler Marks Oklahoma City, OK Visitor Once Reviewed 09/09/2009 | Great Facility and courteous staff. Course was busy when I was there but still did not feel busy. Great Layout and grounds are well maintained without taking away the outdoors part of the experience.
WILL BE BACK. Thanks Silverleaf |
Scott Irwin Fort Worth, Texas Visitor Once Reviewed 07/21/2009 | Top notch facility. Helpful and friendly people. They clearly take pride in making this a classy operation. Three sporting clays courses of varying difficulty, along with trap, skeet and 5-stand. If you're in the OKC area, this is the place to go. |
Dr. Todd M Westin Kountze, TX Visitor Once Reviewed 10/05/2008 | Beautiful facilities, my brother and I shot a round of Sporting Clays and had a GREAT time. Can't wait to shoot their 5-stand and their other Clays course. |
Matt Fisher Norman, OK Visitor Once Reviewed 07/26/2008 | Silverleaf is an outstanding facility.. I shot the silver course today with 2 veterans to Silverleaf the course was tough but very fun very reasonable rates. I got to go back now and better my score thank you for a great day of shooting. |
Ken Sutphin Lugoff, SC Visitor Once Reviewed 06/14/2008 | Very nice club. Sporting Clay course was setup well and people were very friendly. |
Daniel B. Altadena, CA Visitor Once Reviewed 04/03/2008 | We shot the silver course on a less than perfect day. It was raining quite heavily, but they let us out anyway. A really great course. They had just reset the traps for an upcoming tournament, so there was a lot of really great challenges. The traps worked perfectly in the inclement weather. The staff was friendly and they had some really nice gear for sale in the pro shop. My friends who live in Dallas are already talking about making the 3 hour drive up the next time they are home. And I will shoot here again, on a sunny day preferred! |
Jake Pierce oklahoma city Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 06/20/2007 | I love Silverleaf it is a wonderful club to shoot at. The owners are great the courses are well groomed and changed very often. It has to be one of the best in the country, they just hosted the Oklahoma State Shoot for N.S.C.A where i was a judge and it went perfectly. It is a must if you are in Oklahoma, I will be shooting there for years to come. -JAKE- |
Gary W. Grantham Oklahoma City Visitor Once Reviewed 02/13/2006 | My brother, me and a friend went throught the Silver course. We had so much fun, we went throught the blue course. We are hooked! |
Greg Litchfield Bloomington IL Visitor Once Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Superior facility. On a damp, blustery day in March, I couldn't tear myself away before shooting all 25 of their sporting clays stations. Three courses, three levels of difficulty, excellent equipment (only 1 of 50 traps was out of adjustment). I will certainly return. |
Matt Sheik Stillwater, OK Member 6-10 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | An incredible place. Probably one of the nicest in the country. We became members there after shooting there twice. The courses are challenging and very clean. All walkways are gravel. The grounds are kept very neatly. The stands are all very nice. The difficult course is.........difficult. Theres usually a competition there once a month. Very nice and friendly people working there. It's nice to be able to talk with the owners about things with there course. |
Nick W. Norman, OK Visitor Once Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | First time to ever shoot clays, and I am afraid that I will be rather spoiled now. Silverleaf is a top notch, classy place. I went to participate in a United Way fund raiser and before entering the club house I was sure this was a private club. I was thrilled to find out it was not and will be returning often. |
Colonel Jim Putnam Edmond, OK Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | A most professionally run facility. The throwers always work, the stands are in great shape, and the course is always a challenge. The 5-stand is a challenge as well, and the trap and skeet fields are in great shape. A top-notch facility with friendly managers and staff. A cut above all the rest locally. Now, if I could only shoot a higher score...
