Ed Kennedy Leavenworth, Kansas Member 6-10 Visits Reviewed 08/13/2010 | This is a well-run facility with very friendly management and members. Members will step-up and help any visitor, especially those who have never shot skeet or trap. This is a great place to take family and friends to shoot. I give it two thumbs-up! |
Liz Kansas City Visitor Once Reviewed 09/27/2009 | I had the opportunity to take part in the Women's Skeet Shooting Clinic last weekend at Brunner Range on Fort Leavenworth and had a great time! For two days, we were provided fantastic instruction, a shotgun, shells, lunch, beverages, vests, ear plugs, eye protection, door prizes, a gift card for 2 free rounds of shells at a future visit, all for $25. The staff is friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and I can't wait to go back and do it again. I highly recommend this range! |
Ernest Richter Lansing, KS Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 05/09/2008 | Brunner range is great. It is one of the best run ranges I have ever been to. There is always room to shoot and on the weekends they have volunteers on hand to pull for you. They also provide free lessons and always welcome women and children. Come out and shoot; you won't be disappointed. |
Jason Purinton Overland Park, KS Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 07/09/2007 | I have shot 5-Stand here a few times. This facility is clean and neat. The 5-Stand always has great targets, with at least one of them being a little salty. I love to shoot 5-Stand as practice for Sporting Clays. The field is well lit in the evenings and Thursday night is probably my favorite time to shoot. |
Michael Stockmann Moody AFB, GA Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 02/28/2006 | I think this is an excellent facility. It has come along way over several years. It went from one trap house to three. Two of the three are single wobble and the last one is double wobble. The five stand (sporting clays) is one of the best I have seen or heard about. It had six houses poorly kept up and now it has, I belive, and almost every machine is from less than one to two years old. They are still very new and work perfectly. If you ever have the chance to just visit and see how it is run and how well the manager keeps it clean and safe, don't pass it up. |
Larry Nichols Basehor, Kansas Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 02/06/2006 | I enjoyed shooting at this club on several occasions. It is clean, well ran, and has several shooting options available including leagues. It leans more towards skeet shooting, but also has combo leagues that are fun. I shoot only "practice trap", but am thinking of joining a league at this facility. The only downside of this club is more to do with its location in an active Military Fort than anything at the club. Security does vehicle/shotgun checks when you enter the fort, but thats the world we live in now! |
