If you are anywhere near these folks, you owe it to yourself to go bust a few hundred clays with them!!!

This past weekend, in search of registered birds to shoot, Renee and I made the trip to Red T Farms. Red T Farms is owned and operated by Chad Turner. We met Chad almost immediately after turning into the club's driveway. Incredibly friendly, he took us on a tour of the facility, made sure we got taken care of at the registration desk, and generally made our visit a most pleasant experience. This past weekend, the event included a 100-bird main event, a 50-bird 5 stand event, a long-bird event, and a meal included with your Saturday entry. You could choose to shoot Saturday (all day) or Sunday afternoon... I like that.

We shot the main event, which was set up as a straight-up 10-stand x 5 pairs affair... As we rode/shot through the course, I was impressed. The course was set to include a very broad mix of presentations and difficulty levels. From open field shots to wooded shots, short shots, long shots, all kinds of trajectories... If you have a weakness, then odds are, at least one station in the main event would find it. image I truly had a blast shooting it. Very balanced, not too hard, but definitely not a creme puff course either. Renee and I shot it once for score and a second time to boost our bird count... Had a blast on both rounds.

Chad has done an amazing job constructing the 10-stand/stage course thus far, and it is very evident that he is hard at work expanding the facility. I didn't confirm, but by the trail/road work I saw, it's obvious that there will be expansion in the future... and they have the space for several additional SC courses.

Popped into the club house/lodge for lunch (provided for shooters, $6.00 for non-shooters). Lunch was basic but very tasty and greatly appreciated! The lodge has a full kitchen and an open great room where Chad has one of the largest picnic style tables I've ever seen. Lot's of room. Renee and I had a great burger and good conversation with some of the regulars at the club. Everyone was super friendly.

After lunch, we went out to the 5-stand course. Chad has the 5-stand course set as an over-lay on top of the skeet field. Cool idea, and it works well. Field was well groomed and the event was a blast to shoot. All the traps work EXTREMELY well (that goes for the SC course as well). I can count the number of no-birds I saw all day on a single hand.... maintenance is obviously a priority. Renee and I both shot the 50-bird 5 stand event twice. We would have shot more, but by bird #300, we were starting to feel the effects of the heat. The weather was great really... We were blessed with periodic clouds for shade during the day, the sporting course has tons of shade available, and the 5-stand/skeet field has a good sized covered slab behind it with plenty of seating..... and a fan for when nature doesn't provide the breeze.

I can't tell you how much fun Renee and I had.... This part of Arkansas is just beautiful, the people are friendly, and the facility is great. It's hard to believe that Red T Farms was raw, wooded land a mere 3 years ago.

This is a great family owned & operated facility. I've been twice now and enjoyed both visits. Very reasonable prices. Chad is a great target setter. Shot both Sporting Clays & 5 Stand. Fun & Challenging course. Position on map is right on.

Just finished a round of sporting clays on a very nice course. The throwers are all automatic and easy to use. The course is a challenge and Chad likes to mix black edge clays in so be forewarned.
Red T has a lighted five stand and skeet. The lodge is big, new, and very nice! This location would be a great place to hold an event. Greatly enjoyed the morning and will be a repeat customer.
