Reviewed 04/10/2009 | The Tiverton Rod & Gun Club is located on several acres in scenic Tiverton, Rhode Island. The club offers Trap, Indoor Pistol and Archery which are open to the public. They have an outdoor rifle and pistol range which is currently only open to club members and escorted guests. The Trap facilities are excellent with two operational Traps which can be used to handle a large number of shooters. A third Trap is currently being refurbished and should be operational in a few months. Both singles and doubles Trap can be accommodated. Trap shotgun ammunition is available on-site (both 12g and 20g) at a reasonable cost. Beginners, as well as experienced shooters are all welcome. The club members are very friendly and create a great atmosphere for all who use the facilities. If you live in the area, or are just passing through, Tiverton Rod & Gun Club provides an outstanding Trap shooting experience for all. |

Reviewed 04/10/2009 | I,ve been shooting trap at Tiverton Rod & Gun Club for eight years. After shooting at many other clubs I have to give Tiverton high marks, it's still my favorite spot. It's a very nice facility with a great view of Aquidneck Island as the backdrop for trap.
A recently implemented beginner program features instruction in both gun safety and shooting. They supply all equipment necessary including the gun for those who would like to try this for the first time. Ammunition is available. Tiverton R&G is home to the Brown University Gun Club members who shoot trap. The Providence Journal ran a story about this program on the front page of the 4/06/09 edition if anyone is interested. |
