Paul Kolody Edgewater Visitor Once Reviewed 08/21/2009 | Joe Gimelli does an outstanding job running sporting clays. His directions are accurate, he follows up and calls you back when you phone him. The sporting clays course is challenging with lots of variety in all the shots. The trees and rock formations are beautiful, and the main building is a classical New England style club house/mansion which serves meals and even has the capacity for bed and breakfast reservations. |
Walter Anoushian North Kingstown, RI Visitor Once Reviewed 07/11/2007 | I visited the club for the first time last weekend and expect to be back as much as possible. The members were all very courteous and especially helpful to my guests who are new to sporting clays. The course was excellent and the deep woods helped keep things cool on a hot summer day. Many thanks to Joe Gimelli and Lyell Williams for making our visit a memorable one. |
Jeff Hunter Wilton, CT Visitor Once Reviewed 03/08/2006 | Went to the Coon Club this weekend and it's a really nice course. The day we shot, they had about 10 stations open, but the director said they open more stations when the weather gets better. It's definitely not a "gimme" course. The targets were on the difficult side of average. Bring your own cart if you need to ride, but the walking wasn't difficult even in the snow. They shoot most Sundays and Thursdays in the Summer. |
Jim Warner Barkhamsted, CT Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Very nice sporting clays set-up. Gets better every visit. They are now up to 16 stations. Well organized. Get on their e-mailing list and shoot some of the fun shoots like the 3-shot shoot, for pumps & autos. |
