Stacy C. Pace, Fl Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 10/12/2009 | I am a previous employee of this Sporting Clays range and am saddened to announce that all the sporting clays areas are currently closed. There is a chance that they may reopen some or all of the areas in the near future so please call prior to visit if you are ever interested in clay shooting in Pace, FL. Mostly, I wanted to thank all the wonderful people who commented here...I remember you all and am glad to have shared your visits out on the Range. Good luck to all in the future with our uncertain economy. I wish you all peace and prosperity! |
Jim Mitchem Pensacola, Fl. Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 12/13/2008 | 12 station clays course in an "L" shape layout. Cost has gone up to $40.00 for 100 targets. This is NOT a beginners course. Presentations are a good mix of close in to long and fast shots. Maintenance of machines and course is fair at best. Call before you go to make sure that the course is open and not closed for a private meet. Dates of operation are Wed, Sat and Sun only. |

Visitor Once Reviewed 06/14/2007 | Great place, well looked after. Fun & challenging sporting clays course (50/$20 or 100/$34) in a large "L" shape. 5-Stand that we didn't have a chance to get to, but it looked in good shape. There is also a pistol & rifle range right next door, so bring all the toys. There are also shotgun pads available if you'd just like to hand throw your own. |

Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | I use to live in Pensacola about 5 years ago and I use to be a once to twice a week shooter but now that I have moved I go down for a tournament every now and then. The course is one of the best in Florida, the diversity of traps makes the course difficult yet very fun. If you havent shot at Santa Rosa Sporting Clays you are missing out. Jordan Brunson |
Donald G. Holmes Pensacola, FL Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | This fully automated sporting clays course has some of the best tournament quality targets in the south east. Glen Carter, the owner is an excellent shooter and knows what we're looking for in preparation of upcoming tournaments. He has just completed a multiple-trap tower (May 2004) that is capable of throwing to several of the 12 stations. The targets are changed regularly so things never get stale. The Five-Stand is a covered pavillion type of structure over-looking a field. The field is 5 to 10 feet lower than the platform shooters stand on which offers targets sometime below your feet. The control console is centered in the pavillion so that with pryor permission a few shooters could "pull there own". Glen, also believes in giving his patrons a good deal. Currently, June of 2004, how about $28 to shoot 100 sporting clays targets. You're missing something special if you don't try Santa Rosa Sporting.

Jordan B. Pensacola, FL Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed on or prior to 11/20/2005 | Santa Rosa Sporting Clays has a magnificent 100 round sporting clay course along with 5-stand and wobble trap. The environment is great for a family. On the course is like being on a Florida quail hunt. I highly recommend this facility. Jordan |
