Jo Jones Raleigh NC Visitor Once Reviewed 06/25/2010 | A neighbor of a friend who lives near the club told us that he had gone there to shoot without becoming a member. They let him try out the facility to see if he would be interested in membership. So on that bit of information we decided to go. We had the worst time finding the place (even with GPS). They have a very small sign by the side of a country road. We visited the club and they took one look at us and in a VERY brief conversation told us they had no room left for membership and we could not even try out the facility. So if you are black do not waste your time. |
B Jones Raleigh NC Visitor Once Reviewed 06/25/2010 | I will put it simply. If you are black do not go. You are not welcomed! |
Marty Wood Weaveville, NC Visitor Once Reviewed 02/18/2009 | I visited the club when I first started shooting trap and they treated me like a friend and fellow shooter!!! I'll be back!!! |
Oren Abeles Carrboro Visitor 6-10 Visits Reviewed 12/17/2008 | This range is exactly what a gun club should be. It has a friendly corp group of members who are welcoming and encouraging to non-member visitors. The men and women who shoot at Buckhorn take there sport seriously, but in between rounds there's plenty of friendly conversation and joking around. Most importantly, this is an extremely safe facility, with clear and reasonable rules that keep everyone secure. |
Danny Marbell, Jr. Cary, NC Visitor Once Reviewed 02/28/2007 | I visited the club for a trap shooting lesson. The group there was having a shoot, and they treated me like a member. I highly recommend this club, and would be a member if I lived nearby. |
Jeff Telander Durham Visitor Once Reviewed 11/29/2006 | I visited Buckhorn today for the first time. It was also the first time I had ever been exposed to trap and skeet shooting. Every person I met was super nice and very welcoming.
I know I will go back again, and plan to become a member. |
