barry jefcoat mc comb, ms Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 05/25/2008 | Great place to get away and have a good time with family, friends, and/or customers. Very relaxing, peaceful, and accommodating. I walked it the first couple of times and rode my last visit, when walking it turns into a fitness facility as well. The trails are cut through the heart of nature and provide great scenery...bring OFF during the summer. Like I said, nature. Thanks staff!

I really enjoyed the trapper to, kyle i think that was his name
he knew the right choke for my gun, he even gave me some tips on how he likes to shoot his gun. It really came in handy when i was at the ditch, those target got kinda of fast. The course is awesome though, it is a real blast the stations are really challenging. It is a great place and i will be back to. |
Gene Howard Longview, TX Visitor 2-5 Visits Reviewed 08/06/2007 | We had a fun round of sporting clays at Wild Wings this weekend. Met a couple of guys from near Bastrop and shot with them at their invitation. Enjoyed their company and everyone was very safety conscious. Those wooded hills are a beautiful setting for a sporting clays course, however, there was trash (sometimes a great deal) at virtually every station. Many of them also needed to have some brush trimmed. It seems a shame that such a potentially beautiful spot is allowed to go down simply through neglect. I know of some corporate functions that have opted not to use Wild Wings simply because the lodge and property are not kept up. I hope they fix it. |
Tammy Smith Columbia, LA Visitor Once Reviewed 07/20/2007 | I have never been to a place quite so wonderful. The people at the site are very friendly and helpful. I had never shot clay before and the guide helped me at every turn. Our group had so much fun that several of us are trying to make arrangement to go back very soon. We have even talked about making this place a regular hang out with our families. Thank you for the fantastic visit. |

Wm. Brown Downsville Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 12/29/2006 | I just went to the club yesterday an shot a round of 5 stand and sporting clays. It is in a beautiful location and is a very good course to shoot. What makes the course so good is the location and the way it is set up. While shooting, you can see game and just enjoy such a peaceful setting. The course in not automatic throwers. A trapper goes with you and throws the birds, but the targets are set up such that experience or novice shooters can enjoy this range. I talked with 5 other shooters who had just came in from a quail hunt. The club offers quail hunts, crow hunts and chukkar hunts. Sounded like they really enjoyed this. They have carts for rent (3 only) and the course is approximately 1.5 miles long located in the woods and hills of North La. If you don't bring a cart and you walk the course, you will definitely get a workout. The 5 stand had is automatic throwers and they did have a little problem with 2 machines, but it was still challenging. I would suggest this course to all. They told me the club is open on Tuesday- Friday 1 pm to 5pm now, but during the summer, it will be open longer. Sat. it is open 10 am - 5 pm. |
