I have shot trap over 50 years & all gun games too. The friendly "down home" feeling Hunters Run offers is tremendous. No one can please all shooters; I know as I have shot over 50 years and deal in the finest firearms to be made and gun "experts" are like spectators at a fight " they have never been hit by a pro i have".

Hunters Run is on my social calendar whenever business takes me to or through the Baton Rouge area. The club staff are all very friendly, and they're also accomplished shooters who can help a novice or an experienced wingshot. The club has several nice rental guns (both over/unders and semi-autos), so you don't even need to bring your own. Carey, Gary, Ben, and every member I've met there have all been super-hospitable.

Their Thursday night Skeet&Eat or Fun Shoot includes a great meal cooked by Chef Carey (pork chops, red beans w/sausage, cornbread...mmmm, mmm, good!). See ya there!

While traveling through LA, we stopped for a couple days and decided to visit the Hunter's Run Gun Club. The skeet fields are nicely set up, the employees were really friendly, the club house was clean and pleasant. All in all making it an enjoyable experience. We would definitely stop again should we ever get down that way.

I have been to this club several times while in the Baton Rouge area. The facilities are very well maintained, the staff is very knowledgeable, and they are continually making additions to the club. The newest was a pro-shop. I would highly recommend this club to anyone whether passing though or permanent resident.

I have been here several times to shoot sporting clays, and have yet been able to! They focus on skeet and trap, and are always hosting events which prevents you from shooting sporting clays. Even when they are not hosting events, they do not offer a full sporting clay course.
The grounds are nice and well maintained.

The facilities were very nice. This was my first time to shoot skeet and it was a great experience. Will consider family membership.

Last month while on a business trip I had occasion to stop by and shoot on their 5 stand. The targets were great and the staff could not have been any nicer. The facility was under some construction to upgrade the 5 stand to be even nicer. The facility in general were clean and well maintained. If you are interested in some fun shooting at a nice place , with plenty of Southern hospitality, go here.

While traveling on business, a co-worker and I shot a round of trap at Hunter's Run. The facility was top notch and Gary was extremely accommodating. My co-worker never shot a gun before and he was very impressed with the experience. A member even shot with us and helped us out. I would encourage anyone to shoot at Hunter’s Run.

I really enjoyed the skeet shooting here. I was a first-timer and an employee gave me a quick lesson on how to stand and shoot. I hit the first one. Good times! I'm coming back!

I think that the Hunter's Run Gun Club is one of the best skeet and trap fields I have been to. They can give you some info on shooting and hitting the clay targets.

As a former member of this club and active skeet shooter I can highly recommend this fine shooting facility. The grounds are mantained well and kept clean and provide for a comfortable shooting experience. The staff at Hunter's Run is friendly and are very accomidating to both novice and experienced clay shooters. Whether you live in South Louisiana or just passing through this is a gun club worth experiencing.
