This club is highly recommended for all clay target shooters to attend, enjoy, and safely conduct the shotgun sport. We, my two daughters and I, had the pleasure of spending Christmas eve 2010 at the Loch Raven range. Our experience was awesome! The scenic setting, well taken care of grounds, safety factor, and outstanding lodge staff was exceptional. We brought our 12G Weatherby out for a test drive and to orient our daughters to the wonder and safe conduct of this sport. The girls felt right at home and we equally impressed with the entire environment of safe and fun shotgunning! We will be back, and with more time to spend at this great resource. Respectfully submitted.

Terrific facility near the reservoir with friendly, helpful staff, plenty of range space and a side area for patterning. Relaxing lodge to kick back and watch those better shooters out there. Never too busy.

I shoot skeet at Loch Raven a few times a year. It is an excellent facility with skeet, trap and 5-stand. The clubhouse is clean and comfortable, the grounds are well kept. Skeet squads pull for themselves, just in and join and a squad. I have found everyone very welcoming to single shooters.

I can remember my husband took me pheasant hunting and we shot sporting clays afterwards, and even though I didn't hit many, that's all it took to get me addicted to shooting. My husband said there was a skeet place out near Loch Raven which was close to where we live. Well I took my husbands Gold hunter and off I went. I was nervous, especially being a woman and really never shot before, but once I walked in to the clubhouse they were very eager to help me learn. The club is very clean and the grounds are always kept nice. There was a particular employee there that helped me all the time on my shooting skills! Now I now have my own 682gold berretta o/u and visit the club several times a week, and shoot o.k. Everyone that works there and the guys that just hang out are all so nice. And I just want to say thanks for making me feel welcomed Loch Raven Trap and Skeet! You have to come and see for yourself!!

My first experience with LRS&T was in 1971, watching my ex-husband and a friend shoot trap. In 1986 I became an ATA member and shot registered Targets for 9 years. I shot practice several times a week at LRS&T as well as many registered shoots. Now that my son Kevin is shooting skeet, trap and the five stand,I have come back to watch him and to occasionally shoot some trap. It was so nice to come back and see some of the same old friends and warm smiles from the past. I am sorry that there are only two comments on the website and decided to add my thoughts. I feel this gun club is in one the most beautiful areas in Baltimore County. I find the staff and employees to be as helpful and kind as ever and look forward to visiting again often.

Yesterday, March 19th was a beautiful day and a buddy of mine said he wanted to take me shooting. We went to Loch Raven, what a beautiful area. I had never fired a shotgun in my life, much less at small moving targets. The people at the club were very nice. One member overheard that it was my first time and came out to the line with me, and helped me out. Explained how things were going to go. Told me how to lead the target, and explained where to aim to start and everything. Sometimes, when you go to peoples clubs (golf) they are very impatient and rude. The complete opposite is true for Loch Raven everyone was courtious and helpful. One gentlemen even offered to let me use his gun! I cannot wait to go again.

Excellent club. Seven skeet ranges, 4 with trap and one with wobble trap. Brick skeet towers and traphouse. Comfortable clubhouse.
