Mike Moran Carmel Indiana Visitor Once Reviewed 09/28/2011 | I visited the sporting clays facility in September, 2011 with three friends. The personnel were friendly, the facility was well maintained, and the course was enjoyable. We will visit again. Our thanks to the club. |
Lou Toledo Visitor More than 10 visits Reviewed 11/09/2009 | I live in Toledo OH but my wife and I have a cottage near Alpena. We go to the Alpena Sportsman's Club/Alpena Clay Busters whenever we are in Alpena. The facility is clean and well maintained and the personnel have always been very courteous and helpful. If we lived nearby we would be out there shooting clays every weekend, it is a great spot! |
BRIAN SMITH MELVINDALE MI. Visitor Once Reviewed 08/19/2008 | The club was nice I have shot in many clubs but I am one of the type to go to have fun. I went aug. 07 the course was very spread out the people I met were very nice, the course was so large that we drove my car around the course. There is a nice gun shop down the road which is a nice walk through. |
PAUL KING FARMINGTON MI. Member More than 10 visits Reviewed 04/05/2006 | I have been a member for a few years but only visit the club a few times a year. No one would ID me as a member, and I live in the outskirts of Detroit. I have a place near Alpena and that is why I joined. In my experience all the people I have come in contact with have been very nice and helpful and I would recommend stopping by when you’re near Alpena and shooting a round or two. That is how i got involved with this club and it’s been great. I look forward to stopping in every trip to Alpena to shoot some clays and talk to some very nice people. |
Josh Alpena MI Visitor Once Reviewed 12/05/2005 | My father and I visited the Alpena Sportsmen Club on a Sunday to relax and practice shooting, in no way are we associated with a league or club. We were treated appropriately when we entered the facility. The young gentleman working the front desk was polite. While shooting, we were approached by a person wearing a "Alpena Clay Busters" coat who was rude and abrasive. Some of the information was helpful, but how she delivered the information was presented in an abrasive manner. It concerns me that if this lady is in a position to teach children; her totalitarian teaching methods may cause them to dislike the sport and loose interest. As an employee of the recreation industry, this type of representation could bring and end to the business and the sport. If the Alpena Clay Busters wants to survive, I suggest they re-examine their customer service approach. After all a Club can go out of business. I know that because of this incident the Alpena Sportsmen's Club lost two potential members, due to poor representation. |
