The Banning Sportsman is a private club. According to the current president, Bob Rohrbeck, the City of Banning would not permit the club from allowing the public to use the range. There is a waiting list to join the club, which is limited to 100 active members. Members are required to attend two dinner meetings every six months at the club house on the range property. Failure to do so results in loss of membership. There is a non-refundable $40.00 application fee with a short list of persons waiting, 5-7. The range permits all types of firearms. They have skeet and pistol ranges. Guests are permitted once a member. JTD

I live in cherry valley and is a short trip to the banning gun club. I would love to be able to shoot there any other range is a lot further then banning. I have driven to the range a number of times and have never found it to be open. I have no idea when it is open. I have not found a phone number to call. Yet i keep hearing that it is open to the public. Can some one please tell me when it is open, time, days etc. I do a lot of shooting and gun collecting and would love to have a range near by to do my shooting.
