I found this club by accident on Winscore, and I’m glad I did! As a “small town club” I wasn’t expecting much when I showed up from their Memorial shoot, however I was very pleasantly surprised when I pulled in. The terrain was terrific, as the entire course winds along a small creek valley, which gives lots of terrain and angles to set some very fun and challenging targets.
The club is still working to increase the number of automatic throwers, but they still manage to run a 10 station course on any given day, and upped it to 13 stations with the addition of a few trappers.
As others have said, the folks are friendly and great to deal with. I jumped in a group of locals and felt right at home from the first station on.
They are also positioned perfectly that on a Sunday you can shoot here until about noon, and then you are only 38 minutes from Rochester Brooks.

Batavia Rod and Gun is one of Western New York’s best run Sporting Clays courses for fun shooting. The staff is always reliable, freindly and ready to assist. I have been shooting this course since 1990 several times each season. I particularly like their Annual Good Friday Shoot. Targets are fair and the course is simple but fun. The prices are always low but good value.
