My son and I shot the sporting clays course twice the week of August 12, 2013 while visiting family in the Binghamton area. We found the sixteen station course to be a solid layout with a good mix of presentations. Most of the course is laid out so that you are shooting various presentations within open fields; but the course also made good use of the available brush and trees. While we give this course good marks the best thing about this club were the members. The member that checked us in on our first visit gave us a guided tour around the course so we knew exactly where we were starting and how the course was laid out. Everyone we met was friendly and glad to see my 10 year old out with the old man for a round. If you are planning a visit to the area or just passing though this club and the sporting clays course is worth a visit.

I called to verify when they would be there as I was passing by. It wasn’t their normal hours. The gentleman told to come on over and opened the sporting clays just for me. WOW, what a fantastic surprise. It was a very nicely laid out course and fun to shoot. It is very easy to get to, not way out of the way like so many courses.

Hidden away in upstate New York this is a great club with much to offer. You can shoot skeet, trap, International trap, sporting clays and five stand. The sporting clays course is well laid out and presents a challenge. Binghamton Gun club is one of the few on the East Coast that has an excellent International trap bunker. If you have not shot International, give it a try, very humbling. Members are friendly and the atmosphere is low keyed. Prices are very reasonable.

As of summer 08, we also have an International Trap range. I’m told it’s the only one in New York State.

Visited this club in October of 2008. Extremal friendly members and well maintained facility. Very reasonable pricing and very low key.
Club is easy to find. Just follow the Google or Yahoo directions, as there is a rifle club once you cross Route 17/86, which is not part of this facility. Make the left, proceed past the Dead End sign and turn right onto Quilty Hill. Club is at the top of the hill.
Plan to return at Thanksgiving.
