I find it necessary to correct a review i made on 4-17-19. I have since returned to this club numerous times, and have learned i could not have been more wrong in my first impression. The members here are some of the friendliest you can find. There are instructors that are the best i have ever encountered. Having been a police weapons instructor for over 18 of my 25 year career i have seen the good and the bad. Cathy and rick are two of the finest especially with young people.
They have coached my son so well that after just 4 vistis he shot 20 of 25 clays.
The club is very open to any one even those who are in error who are able to admit that error. It is enjoyable to help set up and take down the range each visit. The help is genuinely appreciated by the club officers who are always the first there and the last to leave.
For any one whishing to take up trap, skeet, or 5 stand i would encourage all who can to visit bird busters of payson for one of the best shooting experiences you will be able to find.

Here’s a update on our club. First we will let almost anyone shoot after a brief safety orientation. We are open early every Wednesday and Saturday for skeet and trap. Friday is the day we only shoot 5 stand.
You must come early, we start during the summer months around 7:00 am and usually wrap it up around 9:30 to 10.
In the fall to spring we start around 8:00 and quit when the people are through shooting. Don’t forget this club is run the volunteer members.
The cost to shoot here I’d $7.00 per round for non members and $5.00 a round for members.
Membership is a one time charge of $100.00 with a yearly dues of $100.00. If you join in mid year we will prorate the yearly dues.
This is a excellent club with very friendly members. Come join us.

Visited bird busters of payson on 4-17-19 and to say the least I am not impressed. I received the most polite we dont want you here I have ever received. My father was a founding member of this club and would be shocked to see how unfriendly it is. Of an estimated 40+ people there I could only find one person(a former club president) to talk to me. Other than a very nice conversation about my dad it was made clear their is no time today for any information about how to become a member or participate in any way. “Just come back on another day”. My grandson and wife were with me and were both shocked as to how unfriendly the people their were. I am beginning to think this is just a good old boys club.

Correction. Cost has gone up a few years back to $3.00 per round.
Also the 50 mile restriction has been lifted. Visitors can shoot up to five times a year without joining. The public is invited to shoot here. Club is open Wednesdays and Saturdays, 9:00 am in the winter and 10:00 am in the summer. We shoot as long as anyone wants to shoot, usually over somewhere between 12:00 and 1:00.
Visitors welcome.
