If you really like to burn some shotgun shells and have a great time doing it you need to try Black Duck in Rapid River MI. I was up there fishing and had just a great time. The people working there are super laid back and nice folks. The course is challenging, but fun. The five stand is also a lot of fun. Very reasonable prices too.

I am a level 1 NSCA sporting clays instructor and have used this facility for instruction as well as competed in sporting clays contests. The clay target machines are new and are of excellent quality and the course is changed often and is safe and can be challenging. The log cabin clubhouse is state of the art and the personnel are knowledgeable and friendly. The 5 stand also has first class equipment and is perfect for a course warm-up. If you like to shoot clays, you need to stop in at Black Duck.

I find the sporting clays courses offered at Black Duck Sporting Clays to be both challenging and enjoyable. Unlike many facilities, Black Duck has kept their clays presentation fairly representative of what one might find when pursuing birds in the field or woodlands.
The facility is very nicely kept up and the owners are friendly and very service oriented.
I enjoy myself tremendously when ever I venture out to Black Duck.

The folks who run this place are some of the nicest you’ll ever meet. The sporting clays course can be humbling at times and but is well thought out. Just when you think you might master it they keep you on your toes by making subtle course changes a few time a year. Most importantly, you can’t beat their prices compared with others in Michigan.
