Great clubhouse and very well maintained course that changes regularly with a good variety of targets for all shooters

My wife and I shot sporting clays here today. We can echo the above reviews. Clean, well maintained course with a well laid out 5 stand course. Easy to get to. The sporting course has stations in wooded as well as cleared areas. Good presentations. The staff is very friendly.

On my annual trip from SW Florida to the mountains of North Carolina I am always looking for new Sporting Clay courses that I have not previously shot. This year I discovered this new course less than 30 minutes off I-95 between Walterboro and Charleston, S.C. So after spending the night in Walterboro, I shot Bluefield early the next morning. I was not disappointed.
Bluefield is located in a typical low country forested environment. The surroundings are quite lovely and lend greatly to the esthetics of the experience. Although heavily wooded, the shooting areas themselves have been cleared, allowing for a diversity of target presentations. Most of the course is situated in shady areas, which was great on this hot July morning. Only a few stations are located out in a open field.
The equipment, with ProMatic controllers, is all new and operated flawlessly. The presentations were moderate in difficulty, which was excellent for someone who had not shot the course before. Only one station – a rabbue—was extremely difficult. All in all, a fun morning and a course that I would recommend for anyone traveling through the area.

Less than an hour away from Charleston and just a mile off of Hwy. 17, this club is very convenient to many. The course is well done and it is surrounded by natural woods, a small swamp and farm fields. It is accessed by groomed and well maintained cart paths. The sporting targets are good, varied and changed regularly. The 5-Stand course is well done and entertaining. All equipment is brand new and the stations include gun racks, benches and automatic controls.
The owners and staff will go out of their way to make your experience a good one. I highly recommend this club to shooters of any level.

Bluefeild is new to Charleston shooters and it’s a real treat. Will Tuten has don’t a marvelous job of setting up a splendid “low country” shooting venue. The clubhouse is not yet finished but the course and 5 stand are professionally set by Rick Hemingway and the grounds are very well maintained. The targets are thoughtful and fair while the true pairs are challenging. Bluefeild is welcome addition to the Charleston area. I hope the shoot there often during the winters I spend here.
