As a 22 year veteran police detective I have a fair amount of combat-handgun training and experience, as well as AR-15 for tactical use, but very little with the great firearm known as the shotgun. This morning was only the 2nd time I’ve shot trap in my life (both times at the Buffalo, MN Gun Club),and once again it was an amazing experience. I hit 22 of 25 thanks to the coaching of Board Member Sally Stevens’ son Colm.
My sincerest appreciation goes to the Buffalo Gun Club for allowing an organization I belong to bring members from across the state, (veteran trap shooters, and novices like me), to enjoy, and promote the sport of trap shooting.
I will be looking into purchasing a membership in the near future!

This club is one of the best run I have ever been a member of. There are 3 traps with all new trap fields and equipment. Two fields are lighted. The club holds regular shooting days listed on its website Buffalogunclub.org. In addition to league and open shooting the club has a schedule of ATA approved shoots – both singles, handicap and doubles plus many marathon shooting days. Approved SCTP programming and 2 Ladies Day only events are held each year. NRA/ATA approved coaches are generally on the grounds every weekend.
The upkeep is good, paint and elbow grease are in great evidence. Shells available on the premises. No rifle or pistol shooting allowed.
