   While in the Buggs Island Lake area visiting family, a friend invited me to shoot with him and others at this club. As we drove from the gate to the skeet fields I was really impressed with the well manicured grounds. Campsites, archery range, and shooting ranges are all kept in immaculate condition. Nice, well equipped clubhouse with a large covered patio complete with picnic tables. No litter anywhere. I was a guest and really enjoyed shooting with Norm, Tommy, and Gordon. When back in the area, I’ll shoot here again if invited. If you’re planning on being in this area, pack a shotgun and shells. It will be worth the trouble. If I didn’t live a thousand miles away, I’d apply for membership in a heartbeat. Nice club and great, gracious members!

   While visiting family in Lawrencville, tried to find a place for my grandfather and I to shoot, Bugs Island Club was the only Club to return my phone call. Lee, his father and the other half dozen members we met were by fay the most friendly and hospitable group I have ever shot with! My grandpa “Ed” and I had a most enjoyable afternoon, we cant wait to come back in the spring or summer. Even though its a members club, they like to welcome anyone who likes to shoot.
   Thanks to Lee who showed me how to skeet shoot, it was my time, and I cant wait to do it again.
   The info on this website is either wrong or needs to be updated as they have trap shooting stations also, this is one nice shooting facility, and a great bunch of members!

   I visited the facility on 9/16/06 for a registered skeet shoot and I was extremely satisfied. The people were very friendly and accommodating. I could not stay for the feast that night but talking to other people there I understand that it was top notch. The grounds were nicely manicured along with a full service club house. The club not only offered skeet but trap and a 28 station sporting clays style archery range. There were also numerous archery targets with marked distances. This is a very nice club and I intend to visit it again in the future.
