I was with a group of 8 men on a retreat and we came over for some fellowship. We all had good time and were warmly received. Check in was easy. The facility worked well for us, had a nice club room. Facility is no frills but all we needed. We came to shoot and enjoy our time outside. Thank you to the club for inviting visitors to share your facility.

I had heard about this shooting range from the fathers of troop 8 Boy Scouts in asheville specifically mr & mrs ted & nancy Humble and was told how niece & freindly the members were .i went 2weeks ago shot until my arm fell off but what was most impressive was how helpful the Manager was and he realized I was a novice he made sure I was introduced to a member who showed me the ropes.great experience going back today weather permitting and will join in dec god willing. Very safety oriented place to take young people

My son, Jared, and myself visited the club this past July and August where they were having ATA Trap shoots. Everyone at the club was extremely nice and helpful. Every member that we met was proud of their facility and was pleased to see young shooters. It has a very laid back and easy going atmosphere with great folks. If we lived within 60 miles of the place, we would definitely want to join as members and would encourage anyone to do so.

BCWC is a great trap and 5 stand club. It is well maintained with very fair pricing. The trap fields are well maintained and the 5 stand is very challenging.
The club can be a little tricky to find, but GPS will get you there just fine.
No shooting is allowed after 5:30PM is strictly enforced.

I have visited this club while working in the Ashville area during the summer months. The reception there was very courteous and club members were very helpful and freindly. The five stand is exceptional and chalenging. This is my second summer here and I plan to come again next year. The club is hard to find the first time and the club sign is set back about 20 feet from the road. A visit is worth your time if your an avid shooter.

A friend and I contacted the club to arrange for a 5-stand session by email. A courteous reply invited us to shoot 5-stand on Saturday and stated that the club was open until 6pm. We arrived at 3:30pm and were gruffly told to hurry to the 5-stand as we could only shoot with members who were finishing their round. At the 5-stand, the members were leaving and the trapper was gone. Upon returning to the trailer, we were told by the attendant to come back another time. We offered to join the club and were told that if we joined, we would not be able to shoot. The attendant was extremely rude and threw us out of the facility, stating, “I don’t care how much money you have, get outta here!” Several friends have had similar experiences with this field. In my estimation, this place is mainly a low-grade trap field with an aging 5-stand. I would avoid this place at all costs.
Sadly there are few 5-stand alternatives in the area to Biltmore (too expensive) and Smoke Rise (too far & too expensive). You are much better off shooting sporting clays at Fowler Farms in Madison Co., but alas, they do not have a 5-stand.

Wonderful facility. Very nice & friendly folks. Met with Jerry (Manager) and will be joining the club. Can’t wait to start shooting regularly.

July 18,2012 My 1st attempt at trap and members were very helpful and friendly. Thunderstorm cut us short but I made 3 1/2 rounds!
This field was established in the late seventies with multiple combination (trap & skeet) fields but the skeet had to be shut down for environmental reasons. One is converted to 5-stand and two trap fields are still open. They have a nice little clubhouse for refuge in the heat.
I really liked the place and the people. I’m only a summer resident here so next year I will join. They shoot in the afternoons 3 days a week so next year I plan to burn more powder!

My Wife and I will move to the area in 3 years and are in the process of dealing with a builder for the property we bought 4 years ago. We visited the facility on 4-6-11, and were fortunate to meet with a new member from Atlanta, the Club Manager (Jerry), and a long time member (Tom Brooks). Within 2 minutes we were meant to feel like we were longtime welcome members. We can’t begin to tell folks what Southern Hospitality feels like when it is extended to you. During the 3 years I have left at my club (Wells County Gun Club, Bluffton, IN), I will do my best to follow the manner in which Buncombe County meets perspective new members.
I will be joining the club as soon as the move takes place. In addition, I was also treated extremely well by Bob Schultz of Target Shotguns in Hendersonville. Bob is a Club Member and spoke very highly of the Club.

I recently bought a new gun and went over to Buncombe Co. to try it out. The club is open to visitors, and all the members there were nice and helpful. I will definitely be back again in the future.

Went and shot there once and will be going back and joining the club. Very friendly people and good facility. The directions off I-26 should be exit 44 now, they’ve changed the numbers.

Visited on a Wednesday afternoon, Fall 2007. The skeet houses had been de-activated, but they had trap houses and a 5-stand operating. It’s a bit of a small facility, but a real pleasure to shoot there. All people encountered were very helpful and proud of their club. Next time I’m in the area when they’re open, I WILL be there to shoot.

It’s a great trap and 5 stand range with very reasonable fees. It’s $100 to join with a $50 one time initiation fee. After that rounds of trap or 5 stand are $2.50. They sell shells for $6 a box, but you can load your own and save money there. Every two months they do a group buy where you can save BIG bucks on shells and components if you’re a member. I’d highly recommend joining as the club is open Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday from 1-6.
