Made the mistake of driving all the way out there (an hour from Albuquerque–many miles of dirt road) on Saturday morning only to be met by a locked gate. A lady (co-owner?) came out of the building and went to her truck and waited there until I left. I assumed this range was open to the public, but obviously it isn’t. Best call or get a hookup with a member unless you enjoy driving around the desert for nothing.

While visiting family in New Mexico, we called Del Norte to try to get in a round of Clays. Ken Rowland invited us out and made us feel right at home. The course is most likely the cleanest course I have ever visited. The targets were challenging, but all were breakable. Great course and great hospitality from the staff and local members.

A total of 4 of us shot the sporting clays course late November 2007. The facility is still in the building process, but the course itself was challenging and fun. The personnel are world class, Dave Curry was really helpful as were two club members (Frank and Larry) who shot with us. We are novice shooters, and are traveling around to different courses. But far and away, Del Norte had the nicest people and a great course. FYI, they were in the process of setting up a 5-stand, while we were there.
Great club, great people, two thumbs up!
