I saw the club in Claytargetsonline. If you are a walk on, you can only shoot on Sat. or Sun. and only on one skeet field (not sure about trap). You can not shoot five stand which I was hoping to do. To me the club web site was a little confusing about who could shoot, and what. I would call before going if not a member to check. The members were very friendly and the facilities great.

I have been a member of the DCWC for two years and cannot say enough about the facility and its members. The club is managed and run by the membership as volunteers, no paid employee and I believe that makes the difference. Members are open and friendly. If you have ideas for improvements, they will put you on a committee immediately and expect you to deliver the solution you suggested.
The club is in a perpetual state of improving facilities and programing for members and the shooting public. The pistol range has been completely rebuilt. New trap houses are being installed on the trap fields. The skeet chair is sponsoring weekly registered targets, as well as an increase in registered tournaments during the year. A nationally known gunsmith visits the club several times year and sets up a mobile shop or a week or two. He has modified and repaired most of my shotguns and is a true artist.
The Five Stand facility has been completely renovated, with 20 trap machines. The program changes weekly, so from week to week you will see new targets and shooting problems to solve. The five stand shooters are all active sporting clays shooters, so the five stand represents some of the most challenging pairs of targets they have seen in their travels.
Once you visit the club, you will want to become a member. The costs are low and the value is superb.

One of the best kept secrets in the Raleigh area. Located just 5 minutes off I-40 (Davis Drive or RT55 exit). Located inside RTP, just minutes from Raleigh/Cary. Although the club boast membership of around 600+, it never seems to be that busy and there is always room to shoot. The club has been in existence for over 30 years now and continues to prosper and grow.
With two trap fields, four skeet fields, one five stand (12+ machines), a pistol range (and small bore rifle), and a huge archery range and course, a stocked lake for fishing, this club boast something for everyone.
