Having been to several pistol shoots here, I thought the same serious attitude and attention would be given the clays course. Boy, were we disappointed. It’s like two separate clubs. This club is a great pistol venue, but their clays course is totally amateurish. It has all the amenities of a dogpatch. Presentations seem to be designed by the ‘this trap’ll fit here’ method(when the traps worked…)To top it off, the clays counter person left the site and locked the gate, knowing we were still on the course! We had to find someone at the pistol range to let us out, who berated us (you know who you are) for being there ‘after hours’!!
Thr pistol range and pistol programs are top notch, but don’t waste your time on the so called clays course.

I have belonged to the Fenton Lakes Sportsmans Club for about 40 years or so and I am a neighbor as I live just three doors away on the same road. I have always been impressed with the club from the standpoint of a member and shooter. I have been a rifle pistol and muzzle loader for all my shooting life since the age of 10 but just recently started shooting sporting clays and shotgunning in the last four months. In this new sport at this club, I have not been disappointed in any way. The people are friendly and helpful to anyone I have ever known visit the club. The sporting clays course has been a delight to shoot and extremely challenging, especially to a newbee at the sport like me. Come on over and try it, you’ll like it.
