This is a great place to shoot. The background is great, skeet targets are generally good, and it is place that was built with combined efforts from several people close to me. When I was 12, I got to shoot the very first round of skeet shot at the club during the opening ceremonies, so obviously I am a bit biased. This place is near and dear to my heart and I hope they start to bid on some more big shoots. It is a great range.

Just went by today and joined. Great staff and a very well kept range. The only issue is the 5 stand is not operational and they don’t really know when it will be. 🙁
Still a very nice place and I’ll be there a lot!

The staff is very knowledgeable and they know there business. Makes it easy to ask questions and they take the time to answer your questions.
The club has camper parking for those coming from out of town, showers are available. They also have birthday parties there. Grills are available for cooking. The equipment is outstanding.
My grandson and I both had a great time shooting here. I highly recommend this facility.
Firearms are available for rent, hearing protection and safety glasses.

One of the best skeet ranges in the USA. I have shot many rounds of skeet at the shooting center. In addition I have instructed a large number of skeet shooters at the Center. I hope to return soon.

I have visited this facility several times. This is a great place to shoot trap and the staff is always available and very helpful. I learned to shoot with their help and find the people that shoot there are also very friendly and willing to help, if needed. I highly recommend this facility and if you need anything, ask Frank, a great guy!!

I have been to this facility twice and both times the staff was outstanding in support in my lack of knowledge with skeet shooting. I never have shot skeet before they showed me the rope and SAFETY ISSUES, staff is first class. I took my wife out there after my first trip, and target met. My wife wants to continue to learn and enjoy the skeet hobby. June 24th, I plan to introduce my son to the sport and get him involved. There are members I would comment about, they’re great teachers, but I did not ask them if they agree to put their name on this review. PS Thank you for be a dog loving area!!!

Excellent facility and great targets. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the grounds are well kept. Great place for large shoots or a day of shooting. The Army really has a gem in this facility.
The only down sides noted: A little dusty because of the sand road and parking area. The echo due to the block houses takes some people a little time to get use to. The background (trees) on High 7 especially the double on field 1-3 can be troublesome.

Wow is all that can be said. My girls 16 and 13 love to shoot trap. They are just learning but what fun they had, and the personnel at the club, what can be said, they are great take their time show you everything. It’s a really wonderful way to spend an afternoon with your kids thanks for all you do. Only one bad thing I just don’t get there enough.

My son and I drove down on a Saturday to spend the day shooting. The facility was as nice as I had heard. Well kept grounds with cinder block walls separating the individual stations. And, that turned out to be the cause of a very distracting thing. There is a very pronounced echo after each shot, as the shotgun report bounces back and forth between the walls. This echo doesn’t dissipate quickly. Pow,pow, pow, pow, pow, pow, anyway, you get the idea. Now, before you guys write me off as a prissy, nutcase, think about the ruckus a dozen shooters stirs up.
It’s the only downside to this facility, but it IS bothersome.

Great club!!! Frank, among other members there, are very helpful. The grounds are very well maintained. Easy 30 minute drive from Raeford for a world class facility. A bigger pro shop would be nice, but for the few people that regularly shoot there, I can see why the Army doesn’t invest in this.

And some good news in the shooting world. While Fort Bragg has had multiple manager changes in the past year, they have reopened and are returning to their normal schedule. I’m advised that MWR personnel (from other facilities) have been assigned and will be running the operation and the “founding ” mgr. (Frank M.) has offered his assistance in training and operation.
A very nice place to shoot with top notch targets—lets support them.

Unfortunately, the site has just been posted on the Fort Brag MWR site as closed effective 28 December until further notice due to staff and mechanical problems. This is a very sad review.

This is a wonderful facility. Today, I shot Trap for the first time. They kindly set me up and made sure there was someone to show me what to do. Tom spent the better part of two hours teaching, encouraging and convincing me that I could do this. It was extremely hot outside and he even loaned me a towel. Kindness and thoroughness were abundant. I can’t wait to go back!

I have been to this facility twice and loved it both times. I never have shot trap before and the first time I was there they taught me and I enjoyed it enough to want to go back. Then I took my husband and his son…they both enjoyed it. I now have bought a shotgun for trap shooting and plan on going back. I really enjoy this sport thanks to this facility.

I was working in North Carolina and joined the club. I had to drive 90 miles one way to get there, but, had no regrets. It is an outstanding facility and the staff is friendly. John provided me with some very good instructions and I look forward to getting back to the Ft Bragg Clay Target Center some day soon.

It IS a premier club. Frank McFall, club manager, runs a great range that is owned by the US Army. And, you DO NOT have to go on post to get there. It’s in Spring Lake, NC, just north of Fort Bragg off E. Machester Road. Give it a try!!
