I had the pleasure of shooting at Hermitage Farms on my way to North Carolina in July. Both courses are delightful, one a bit longer and stronger in open terrain around an old gravel pit, making for very interesting presentations. The second course was a bit easier, with shorter, but trickier targets. Both layouts were excellent with all equipment functioning as it should. Joe Cantey was a delightful host. I hope to visit again next summer on my way North. Would recommend this Club to any and everyone.

Over the past few months I have had the opportunity to shoot sporting clays at Hermitage Farms. I found the staff to be very friendly and accommodating, and the courses were excellent. The first course meanders through a heavily wooded trail, while the other sits along a combination of cliff like drops, down hill slopes, and flat open presentations. Each time I visited the club we had the course to ourselves and never felt pressure to hustle or rush. The club is a very easy drive from the Columbia area, and well worth the visit.

First time ever shooting sporting clays. I had a blast, great facilities, and a very challenging course. I definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try out their shotgun skills

The people are very nice. They really make you feel at home. I went here for the first time and it was also my first time to shoot clay, first time to shoot a shotgun but the person I was with had done it before a long time ago and this was something I really wanted to learn. I bought a new shotgun and used it but you can rent one. We went in and I told them that it was my first time and the staff was very welcoming. The course is amazing and I’ll come back with friends, when time permits.

Great place to shoot. They make you feel at home. Even though we had not shot there but a couple of times in the past few years they made my father and I feel like we belonged. So often when visiting new ranges the locals all look at you with trepidation. Not these folks, they did not treat us like rookies, just a quick review of the course, the safety basics and the cut us loose. I got the feeling that if you show up to shoot there, they expect you to know what you are doing unless you ask.

I finally found a home!! I’m relatively new to the area and I visited for my first time a few weeks back. Everyone I met was very helpful and I shot a round of 100 with Dave who went above and beyond to show me a good time, and a great tour of the entire facility. There is a great variety of shooting to be had there, but clearly the people running the place make you feel right at home. Long story short, I joined on the spot and look forward to many more trips out there very soon.

I happen to love hermitage farm shooting. We practice there on Wednesdays. As a school and so far outta all the places we’ve been I consider it the most well maintained and best practicing course I’ve been to. And they have some great people and fair prices they got some really good five stand and course shoots overall hermitage is probably the best overall I’ve seen yet. It’s a great place to shoot.

Great facility! Lovely people and beautiful course (Loblolly). We had trouble with one of the traps and they came right out and fixed it on the spot! Some rental guns available if you are traveling without yours. Next time I’m in Columbia, SC, I’m going back!

Well maintained facilities. The people were very helpful and congenial.
Three clays courses: mild, medium, and challenging. Interesting and varied presentations. The Cypress course was especially pretty thru the woods. They have a cookout on Wednesdays, which we missed.
    Well worth the trip.

I attended a National Kidney Foundation Shoot at Hermitage. The facilities are well maintained and the sporting clays course is a very pleasant walk through hardwood bottoms and ridges with many presentations through the trees. The five stand course is set up on a pond with the rabbit running along the ponds edge. Nice clubhouse with wraparound porch. A+

Great facility. Nice people. Dogs welcome. 2 full sporting clay courses. One you can drive, the other you can use a cart. You could actually walk both. Nice updated 5 stand and FITASC. Skeet is nice as well. LIghts for night shooting. The Boss is a world Champ FITASC shooter. Great place for a lesson.

I have taken a friends to this facility who had very little shooting experience and the staff went out of their way to help them. The facilities are also in excellent shape with a number of options to choose from. I would highly recommend them.
