New to the sport but had visited Hot Wells Shooting range many times before and knew they were regimented but you need that to be safe. Too many people out there owning guns that do not practice safe handling. I skeet shoot with a group of friends and Hot Wells has always been accommodating and professional. Would highly recommend this place for skeet shooting and dove and duck.

Low keyed, low pressure, low cost – great place. Highly recommended.

There are 4 ranges – 3 facing on direction and 1 facing another direction. To me this offers a challenge in that I am not always shooting the same direction.
I find the folks are very friendly and have managed to keep their costs low. There ia an active skeet league with teams of 5 if you want to join a league. They are also open on Saturday and Sunday which is nice since the area is really growing.

If you have any choice other than this location, use it. Very unfriendly!!!
I will never return…………do not like their setup at all!
You wait in line to pay in advance, have your shells inspected and then are assigned to one field for every round you want to shoot! Way, way too regimented!!
There are 2 fields next to each other and then a 3rd setup 90 degrees to them. This does not make it a fair test when 1 of the 3 fields gets an entirely different effect from the winds……..
They don’t give you any time between rounds to take a break. It is just one round immediately following the next.
I signed in and purchased 8 rounds and is was non stop. I couldn’t take time to eat a snack at all. Got on station 1 for my first round at 12 noon and had finished 8 rounds by around 2:30pm.
There is a trap boy on each field. They don’t say word during the entire round. I had to keep looking behind me to make sure he was ready when I led on the first 4 rounds.
They radio the head office after each round and they tell him who is assigned to shot next. He writes down the names and heads to station 1.
