I have known Gene for more than 40 years and have enjoyed shooting at his club hundreds of times. He runs a first class operation, helpful to both novice and professional alike. Gene is an absolute gentlemen as well as being himself a superb shot.

I’ve been a member for a number of years. Best decision I made. Gene runs a top notch facility. Always helpful and the other shooters are free with their helpful hints.

I have known Gene for many years, he has helped train my son in shooting trap, myself, and my wife Ruth. Gene is a true professional. This is a great place to shoot.

A very friendly and helpful club. Nice people, good facility. I live in Michigan but my daughter lives in Freehold NJ and I was looking for a place to shoot trap in her neighborhood. I’m glad I found the Howell trap club and will shoot there every time I’m visiting, about 4 or 5 times a year. I took my son in law there after I had shot a few days before an he wants to go back too. Great place, great staff. You’ll have a good time.

Gene is both professional and personable and he runs a great place. It has become my home away from home and I like the interaction between shooters, both novice and expert. All are very helpful, especially with young shooters, i.e., my grandson. Love the place!!

Gene’s was recommended by a number of neighbors who said that it was a great place to learn and shoot. As a beginner, this sounded like the ideal place especially since it was only 5 minutes away. Everything that was said about it was true, good people and good facility!

My first review was almost 4 years ago…little has changed – Gene runs a GREAT place to shoot, beginner or expert. Although a friendly and informal atmosphere, there are some A++ shooters here! It’s fun just to watch someone shooting a 99!
Gene also runs a complete ammo and gun supply shop – great for reloaders!!

I’m having trouble contacting this place. I heard it just closed for good. Can anyone confirm this?

Gene runs a first class operation.
Fellow members are very helpful in coaching new shooters.
I would like to thank Raymond Higgins Jr. (Staff Handicap Xpert) for his instruction and time he spent teaching me the finer points of long distance shooting..
A high quality shooting staff and facility.

    Greetings!

After shooting Bullseye for years, finding the Howell Trap Club was a great change of pace! The members and staff are ready to help both new and young shooters.

My son and I liked shooting here so much, we joined after our second visit. Now, we try to stop by as often as we can.

If you ever wondered about Trap Shooting, stop in and give it a try!

Gene is a first class operator. The club, though not luxurious, is fit, clean and very professionally maintained. 99% of his clients are regulars who show up for both practice and ATA regulation shoots. You couldn’t find a more welcoming place for a novice or the most intense competitive shooter. Kay and Debbie are regulars, and that will tell you ATA guys and gals a lot.

One of my first choices when it comes to picking a club.
