Well I drove 1050 miles to shoot skeet, 5 stand and sporting clays at
PPGC and found that this club was completely different from my last visit. What has happen to this club? I was able to shoot skeet on two days but due to a State Trap Shoot the skeet houses were closed for my next two days. 5 stand was unavailable because the machines were not working??? Sporting Clays was also a disappointment. Out of the first 12 stations only two were in working order. Some stations either A or B throwers were completely out of Clays. So 10 out of 12 stations were really a complete let down. Returning to the clubhouse we talked to a few individuals that were running the State Trap Shoot “club members” to express our disappointment. We were told that due to the State Trap Shooting event there was no time to get every other shooting discipline that the PPGC has in working order…REALLY!!! Those other shooting sports bring in money to run PPGC. Two days prior to the State Trap Shoot there were there were young adults driving around loading boxes of clays into trap houses, how long does that take? I did that as a kid too. If you can’t get these young men to work, get someone that will do their jobs.
On another note, I was out at PPGC 5 times this trip and in those 5 days I viewed two vehicles with flat tires, a tractor and ATV, what does that say for matainance?
I was only a visitor, not a competitor, looking to have some shooting fun with a couple of your members but we were all let down.
I did enjoy the two days of skeet shooting. I really wanted to get a new hat and T-shirt but you didn’t have either???
This was not meant to be a RANT but a little CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM to help improve the PPGC

Great facility, new management is great and friendly. Club is expanding to help facilitate the increasing demands. Six new rifle and pistol ranges are going in this spring and a new “bunker trap” facility is under way. The club house has been expanded and discussion is ongoing to add even more “trap” and “skeet” fields. Evening shooting will come this Summer – UNDER THE NEW LIGHTS – !
This is a must: If you have never been there – GO! If you haven’t been there for a while – GO BACK! If you go frequently – ENJOY!

A very family oriented facility with warm and friendly staff. The best clubs for all you’re shooting needs.

A nice facility reasonably close to Colorado Springs. Although primarily a shotgun club, IWL has nice lane-style facilities for both pistol and rifle.

Outside range with nice clubhouse. Pistol (5 to 25yd.); Rifle ( 50 to 200yd.); Skeet range( 2 soon to be 3 ); Trap range( 10> )Also, Wobbly trap house ( great fun ); Sporting Clays ( 10 stage ); Shotgun patterning board; Archery range ( single lane ).
In my opinion, this is a great place for the whole family. A nonprofit organization where the members are very friendly and helpful. Go visit on a special event or just any regular open day.
