The facilities are top notch. They have everything covered and everything is brand new.The old kern county gun club was one cool and you got to shoot out over the river. I was saddened when it was closed but was excited after seeing the new club. The only thing I can complain about is the cost. A round a trap costs $8 a round, which i think is overpriced compared to other clubs. Also trap shooters aren’t as welcomed as I expected. Most of the staff shoots sporting clays exclusively
The entire board of members is sporting clays shooters. There aren’t any more ata events, only sporting clays. Other than that it is a wonderful club and you should totally check it out

I was shocked and pleasantly surprised at how nice a facility this is. From the covered shooting stations to the bathrooms, it is first class. I really have to hand it to the folks taking care of it.They have done an awesome job.

    I paid $8 for a round of 25 clays.
IMPORTANT- they require #7 or 7.5? shot or higher, the sold me boxes of #8 for about $8 per box of 25.
As a total newbie, I was amazed to see they had voice activated trap stations. Just shout PULL (or any sharp sound), and the clay is launched. Or you push the button on the portable hand station. (It has a LONG extension cord)
I used a pump, so standing too close to the microphone when I racked the pump did cause a few clays to go unexpectedly. It’s a multi-position trap, with microphones at each spot on the semicircle. There are maybe 10 trap stations, in addition to the Skeets, etc. Go on Wednesdays for plenty of empty space, call ahead to be sure.

I was close by about two weeks ago and planed to try this club. I am truly glad I did so. I found it to be friendly, clean and very large. As a nonmember I was greeted with a smile and was told of all the available shooting stations. I have to admit it was warm but a breeze came up and made it work out. If (by chance) you are in the area drop by and check this one out. As I am, you will plan on coming back. SOON.

This is one of the top places to shoot in California for trap or skeet. Sporting clays is just now being constructed. Some of the most friendly people I have met including the staff. The club cares about your experience and will help you any way they can. It is hot during the summer months but go early in the day. The club puts on great shoots and associated meals.
