I’ve been an NSCA member the last five years, been shooting sporting clays 24 years. Two years ago decided to start shooting of the clubs in PA and other tournaments (16 clubs to date). I have not been more unwelcome at any club in my lifetime than LVSC. After getting our cart and returning to the club house to “hit the course” a staff person walks up and start opening all our gun cases ammo boxes and shooting bags -without announcing their intentions, asking, or informing us. I asked if they were looking for something specific, they responded with no ammo under 7.5 and “illegal ammo”. At the point they opened my range bag (I had picked up some empty paper hulls several ago at a different club, and as a reloaded I was interested in availability (modern ammo issues…)) and found the hulls I received a lecture about “illegal ammo” this was troubling as they were EMPTY 12ga, 2 3/4 paper hulls (about 6). I injured my hand earlier this year and found my Browning O/U wasn’t helping it heal and resorted back to my old Mossberg 500 (I install a full-length rifle stock with integrated pistol grip a few years ago). At the first station I was inform “assault guns were not allowed”, this a stock 500 with 26 inch “bird” barrel, std mag (5 round mag tube with tube rod). When I challenged the definition of “assault gun” the person called the manager out who promptly parroted the absurd judgement. I elected to “car” my SHOTGUN to see the course, although their were only four or five other squads on the course the “safety range officers” were Constantine driving up or parked down the trail watching us. As a group of three shooters in our late 50’s I struggle to understand the response and logic from the staff and club. 1) if the type of shooters they regularly get warrant this behavior – I don’t want any part of it, 2) it this type of fund mentality that decides our guns and shooting sports community – I won’t support that thinking! In either case me and the people I shoot with never be back.

LVSC is the “country club” of Sporting Clays in PA. If you were to see this place when it first began, you would understand and appreciate how much time, thought and pure cash was spent on this course. It’s quite a beautiful place to shoot.
The best target presentations any where in PA. Friendly, helpful staff, but SAFETY for everyone is their main focus and concern.
If have never had the opportunity to shot LVSC, your missing out! Wide, paved cart paths, covered stations, water shots and open field shots on all 3 courses. Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced courses.
Just a fun place to spend a few hours! Weekends get awfully busy so my advice is to come during the week or arrive EARLY on Sat and Sun.

I have shot here about a dozen times. My son and I have so much fun that I signed him up for the scholastic shooting team.
The staff is very friendly and helpful. Everyone I have met when shooting has been very friendly.
I do wish it were closer so I could shoot more often.
I would recommend this course to anyone interested in sporting clays as they have three levels of courses to shoot, they rent guns and carts and have everything you would need for a great day of shooting.

This has got to be the prettiest and most interesting sporting clays course ever. I live in Michigan and visit my daughter and grand kids about 4 times a year in New Jersey. My son-in-law belongs to Lehigh Valley although he lives near the Jersey shore about 100 miles away. I belong to four clubs in Michigan but I have never shot at such an interesting place. Winding through the old stone quarry water filled to shoot over & old concrete workshops that have clays flying out of unexpected windows with three levels of difficulty of presentations all on a paved neat as a pin blacktop path that is wheelchair accessible. This course has it all. As long as the kids are in New Jersey I’ll be coming back. We played the course three times in the last ten days.

This is a great facility. The targets are a challenging. They offer beginner, intermediate and advanced courses. The facility is well maintained and clean. I did experience a few stations that were not operational but it was no big deal. The course is paved and has easy access. It is one of the more interesting sporting clay layouts. You will not be disappointed.

Since the beginning of 2013 there have been several improvements going on at LVSC. They are adding additional stations, several requiring major sight improvements some just taking another direction. One area now includes a 12′ wall with new banks as backstops. They are converting all their stations to a card system, if you have been there, a card system like the green course, or moving away from the orange release boxes you have to carry with you. They are putting an addition on the main building. They may be adding to the parking lot. I have been a member there for two years. The group I shoot with usually plans on arriving at 9am including Saturdays &Sundays,I can only think of one time we have had to wait with a pager, and then it was only a few minutes, obviously week days are easier. I shot there winter league this winter. There was never a wait then no matter what day or time. We shoot Rock Mountain and Wing Point regularly. I feel LVSC is on par with both of them. Also note that Wing Point has changed hands. They have installed all new automatic traps and are offering membership deals. The change now offers new presentations. It is well worth a visit.

I had never been clay shooting in my life, even though I was an avid hunter most of it. After hearing how good a time my cousin had shooting here we decided to take my brother for his birthday. We had such a great time that we have been back a few times despite having to travel over an hour. The scenery is awesome and the course is great. A lot of variety. Also three different levels of shooting. I highly recommend this establishment.

As was said below by my brother, lehigh valley sporting clays at one time was a mecca in the craft of shooting sports. the place has since fallen apart and changed for the worst in my opinion. i realize change is needed to keep the courses from being too repetitive, but to wait with a pager like you receive at outback steakhouse is very low class if you ask me. the staff there used to be top notch and first class and now the are not very friendly, and the counter help inside is not friendly at all. i will not shoot there again as i will also travel to wing point and rock mountain.

I have been a member for 4-5 years and until recently have been very happy with the set up and staff at this establishment. Recently there have been many changes to pretty much everything at this course. Now you are no longer able to shoot at different levels within in your group. This means that if you are an experienced shooter and go with a friend who isn’t experienced you now have to “dumb down” your shooting or set up your friend for failure.
When arriving to shoot you now must wait to start until your paged to begin. This weekend our group of 4 shooters arrived at 9:15 and waited about an hour to even begin to shoot. There were many people waiting and some that even left because of the wait. This change is definately not for the good. This is causing a back up at the clubhouse not to mention making many people unhappy and ultimately causing LVSC to lose business. Some of the new staff are not friendly, and make customers feel unwelcome.
There are now 3 levels throughout this course, this however now means that the beginner course is not able to shoot at many of the stations that were previously available using the old course setup. Not being able to shoot at some of the other stations have now made it that many stations you are shooting 8 shots instead of 6 shots like before. We were told last time when we shot here that there were going to be more stations added. Since that time there were only very few added and still making us shoot too many shots at each station.
At the end of shooting this week there was still a large back up of people waiting at the clubhouse to be able to even begin the course. The wait was up to one and a half hours at that point. We watched people come in, find out how long the wait was and turn around and leave, again making LVSC lose business.
We will not be renewing our memberships, and in fact plan on making the further drive to Wingpointe, or Rock Mountain sporting clays courses.
I understand that changes must take place to ensure that you are not shooting the same old course all the time, and that things need to also change to keep the business up to date, however making people wait an hour or more to be able to shoot the course is definately not a change for the better.

Excellent facilities, well-maintained. Bring a camera! Two courses to shoot for beginners and advanced. Some of the advanced stands need tighter chokes. Most of the easier course can be shot with smaller gauge guns with no problem. Well-worth the trip! Wish we lived closer, we’d be there weekly.

There is no place in the tri-state area that shows you target presentations like Lehigh. The people treat you great and it’s always a fun day at Lehigh.

An extremely nice facility and fun course. Done well all the way around with great presentations, well stocked store, interesting surroundings, and a friendly staff. There is an ‘A’ and a ‘B’ course for differing levels of skill. Great fun to be had and this course gets my highest recommendation.

First time and I will definitely be back! The staff are really approachable and helpful. Ammo was cheaper than the stores. In fact all prices were very reasonable. If you have not been there, you need to go.

On the recommendation of a friend, I made arrangements for a private lesson, as my wife and I are novices. I was totally impressed with the knowledge and friendly approach the staff and instructor showed us. Fantastic course and grounds. I highly recommend this facility to all my friends. We will be a regular at this course.

I visited them for the first time on a recommendation of a friend. It was everything he said it was and I had a great time! The people were friendly and willing to help a newcomer. A month later I came back with my father who is in his late 60’s. The golf carts made for a pleasant day. I will be back soon. Thanks.

I shoot LVSC every weekend and it is AWESOME. Rarely does a target not work and the machines NEVER run out of clays. The Facility is spotless and the staff is GREAT! There is a staff member riding around continuously!
Reserve a cart early if you need one because they run out fast. Sunday is the busiest day and you can wait 10 -15 minutes for a station if you get there at the wrong time.

Continuously improving – Fortunately I live 10 minutes away and am a frequent shooter. I can affirm all of the positive comments about the setting, targets and staff. I did not get there over the holidays and this weekend was pleasantly surprised to see that two mid-course fire pits were added. A quick break around a warm fire felt great on a cold damp day. Just another example of the attention to detail in this first class operation.

I visited Lehigh valley sporting clays a little over a year ago and have been a frequent visitor ever since. This is by far the best shooting facility I have visited. The facility is accommodating in every way.
The staff is friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and work at making your day fun.the courses are challenging and presentations are changed from time to time to keep you sharp. The site itself is a abandoned quarry that has you shooting over water, through concrete towers, even clays coming through windows. The place is well maintained, clean and scenic.
The club house is stocked with shooting supplies as well as hot coffee
cold drinks and snacks. If you enjoy shooting clays you will like Lehigh. I travel 140 miles round trip to get there and look forward to many more trips.

I have only one thing to say about LVSC….AWESOME! I just got back from a corporate shoot and every single thing about this club impressed me. Great presentations….beautiful facility, interesting course with lots to offer everyone from experienced to novice. Simply stunning facility. I live 2hrs away and I plan on coming back several times!!

I am from Glen Burnie, Maryland. It took me approx. 3 hours to get to your club. It was worth every minute. Your course was the most spectacular & scenic courses that I have ever experienced. The shear rock cliffs towering approx. 100 ft. throwing a clay bird from the top left to right ending in the quarry was a real challenge. I also liked the old stone building’s around the course. The clay’s came out of the window’s & across the tops of the concrete building’s. We shot the level A course. Please be prepared to get challenged, it wasn’t an easy course, but a heck of a lot of fun. Thanks again

This is the best course I have shot – My husband and I have been going to Pocono Manor and a friend told us to try Lehigh Vally that we wouldn’t be sorry – Well this was the greatest – We came this past weekend and couldn’t believe how they cater to the shooter – Water – Rest Rooms – Club House – Clean – Carts for your equipment and Employees are soooo nice – not to say the course is outstanding – I guess we have found a shooting home – We plan to make our visits frequent! THANK YOU

One of the best places I have shot. Very nice employees. The course is paved. Some targets are over a old quarry filled with water. These were nice long incoming shots. Then a few were shooting around the remnants of old buildings. One shot is incoming straight at you through a window. Course is pulled by the shooters via a remote that plugs into each station. Five stand was great as well. Very reasonable rates, went on Thursday and received a discount on that day. Will be making many trips here in the future.

My friends and I, usually four to six shooters are regulars here at LVSC. We started coming in 2005, becoming members early on. Even though the drive is long, about 105 miles, and gas is expensive, we shoot here because of the excellent facilities and courteous staff. Laura, Jen and Chris always greet us with a smile and a waiting golf cart. Since the pathways were paved last year, riding from station to station has been extremely smooth and safe. The presentations at both the “A” and “B” venues are changed regularly to provide and maintain a challenging session. There are some “A” stations that cause me to utter an occasional *&*$@#^(*, but I’m working on hitting them. Being able to help yourself to hot coffee, grilled franks and cold drinks all day long is a big plus, plus the comfortable clubhouse facilities encourage one to sit down and “take five.” All in all, we shoot here twenty to twenty five times yearly, now you know why.

I shoot at Lehigh Valley once a week. I have shot a lot of courses around northeast Pa and this one, is by far the best one i have shot at thus far. Two stands per station. A for advanced and B for beginner so the chances of log jams are slim depending on what station you wish to shoot. The scenery is second to none. Shooting over an old quarry hole while fish are swimming below you. Paved paths throughout. Golf cart rentals for people with limited mobility or, if you have a big group shooting with you. The prices are definitely second to none. Beautiful clubhouse. Loaner guns. Very friendly and experienced staff. If for some reason you have a problem with anything on the course, the staff is always there to take care of any problems that may arise. I could go on and on but, Lehigh Valley is something that needs to be experienced by everyone who has a passion for the shooting sports to be able to do this beautiful facility any justice !!!

Ssssh! Best kept secret.
This is the best Sporting Clay course around the New York City area, I’ve been to most Sporting Clay course within 175 miles from 07624 NJ and believe me this is the best out there.
Rock Mountain is top notch also but the drive is too much for me.
Lehigh Valley offers food, drink, clean facilities and well maintained carts available for rental.
The people are courteous and friendly, you won’t be disappointed.

This is truly one of the best sporting clay clubs I have been to. I am fortunate that it is in my “backyard”. The course is set around an abandoned mill & quarry with fantastic shots across the water or incorporating some of the old structures. There a great mixture of looks and angles, which are changed often to keep shooting there fresh and challenging. Also they have both beginner and advanced shooter options at each station so it is a good time for everyone!

Fantastic facility! I went there with a group of people to attend Bill Kelsey’s Fun Shoot; which was very well put together. This place offers great customer service, very good ammo and excellent gun rentals. Definitely worth the drive from New York City.

This place is great! My daughter & son-in-law live in Quakerstown and this is just a short drive to a first class facility. You get different looks from not only the diverse stations; but also from the novice/intermediate & expert stations. Its a nice walk; scenic and well maintained. It’s certainly challanging and I look forward to many more trips to the Lehigh Valley Sporting Clays. I found all the shooters to be courteous; with the slower one (larger groups) allowing a two-some to play through. Can’t wait to return.

This is a top shelf course! It is an excellent place to learn and refine your shooting skills. Instruction is available and participation with women and youth is encouraged. There are presentations at this course that are unique and challenging for even the finest shooters. The shots over the quarry are really fun. Guns and ammo are available and carts can be rented. A comprehensive pre-shoot instruction session is free for first timers. See you there!

The facility is setup in a way that presents targets for both the novice and skilled sportsman. There are two houses per station; one for beginner and one for advanced. If you shoot alone, the targets can be programmed to launch 3 seconds after called. If you shoot with a partner, they can be called as singles or doubles. The staff is very friendly and the facility is among an abandoned limestone quarry which makes the whole thing worth a trip.
Lucky me, my in-laws moved to the Coplay area and now when my wife tells me we are going to her parents, I jump in the car smiling with a shotgun by my side…

Lehigh Valley is set up over a old mining/cement factory. There is no other place you can shoot targets in and around old cement buildings. They have targets across ponds, field and woods targets. This is the place everyone has to go to!!!!
Number of visits: 6-10 Visits
Lehigh Valley is a first class sporting clays course. It is situated on the ruins of an old cement factory, which give it some unique opportunities for presentation around the old buildings. There is also an old quarry that has filled with water and provides some nice over water shots. There is a good mix of shot presentations and include targets in the trees, over brush, below the shooter and in among the buildings. The shooting stations are well constructed and maintained. It is unusual to find a trap that is not working and “no birds” are an infrequent occurrence. The course has multiple shooting locations for different degrees of difficulty for each station. Cart paths are gravel and are fairly smooth and dry on all but the wettest days. Trappers are usually available, but if you prefer you can shoot without one.
