I have been coming to this range over several years and find it to be a very well controlled and a safe place for both the casual shooter and the die hard target shooters. Myself being the latter. We need an open range such as this one to continue to enjoy the sport. I hope to be able to return many times as I perfect my accuracy.

I have always gone to Suffolk Trap and Skeet but I wanted to give Brookhaven a try. I have been here many times shooting my rifle. What a nice group of people helpful friendly they give you tips on what you might be doing wrong. I would give this place FOUR STARS **** where the trap shooting is I like the fact that you have shade to sit under while resting this is such a plus. Safety seem to be priority with Brookhaven and thats OK with me. I have seen people tossed out for not following the rules on the rifle range and I’m fine with that.

I go almost every week. Started with rifle now hooked on trap. Everybody there is helpful and polite. On thr trap field I have developed several relationships with both staff and visitors. You can eat lunch, sit and watch or partake at your own pace. A great place to shoot and enjoy an afternoon.

They throw a decent target for the most part. No voice call, just a puller/scorer which results in mostly late pulls. All in all a decent range with a nice back drop.

Long Island Field Target Club with Long Island Shooting Range set up air gun only range with targets or bring your own. You can take shots out to 150 yards with your airgun it is a great place to teach your child to shoot also. Long Island Field Target has three events a month air pistol and air rifle silhouette along with field target.

The name of the club is Long Island Field Target (L.I.F.T) started in 2008 we are a NRA insured club. The Airgun club was created by Cobra Airguns basically because there was a need for one. Field Target seemed like the logical choices and we have add Air pistol and Air Rifle silhouette. call 800 898 0741

This is an excellent rifle range to go to. It is controlled and clean. There is a nice overhang that was built over the shooting positions to avoid sun in the shooters eyes. Their are nice chairs to sit on and the shooting benches are well kept. ( no splinters ) Sand bags are supplied as well as staple guns and target backboards that are in good condition. The thing that I like most about this shooting range is that the range master is always present, making it safer to shoot, and you don’t have to worry about stupid people lighting up the entire range for no reason. It is a safe, controlled, and comfortable place to go and shoot.

I had shot rifle and bow. Always had a good time. Shooting trap was my first love. So I tried shooting trap at this place. Big mistake. They put 15 of us on one range. It took Saturday and Sunday to shoot 2 rounds of trap. At Suffolk Trap & Skeet, I could shoot 5 rounds in couple of hours.

Great place to go. Plenty of fields and a very helpful, without being pushy, staff, especially when they debug what ever one might be doing wrong. Unlike elsewhere when you can get your hackles up, their insights as to how to improve are immediately assimilatable. I went from a struggle on the middle stations to doing extended doubles, both true and report and it was an outstanding experience. I will be back.

We are “occasional” trap and skeet shooters, and have found this range to be an excellent facility. The ranges are well kept, and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. The pullers are always willing to help beginners, especially a fellow named Bill. He has improved my game every time we’ve shot with him (unfortunately my days off from work are Mon. and Tues., so it’s not often enough.) Bill is able to provide great coaching without being pushy, and we always look forward to shooting there whenever possible.

Well, the range is broken into two sections, rifle and pistol but its really long or short range, you can shoot rifles in both sections. You may only use slugs when shooting shotgun at the target range and you have to go to a special section to shoot handguns. the staff are friendly and are willing to help you if you have a problem. They offer sandbags and benches, when firing at the long rifle section you have to sit. its a great place to go if you are looking for a change of pace.
