Shot Trap and skeet a couple times a week during our two month stay last winter. Nice facility with friendly staff and fair prices. Look forward to this winters shooting there.

Went there 11/30/18 in hopes of shooting several rounds of skeet. No other skeet shooters there so Tom offered to pull for me. Good targets, friendly atmosphere and nice club house. Will definitely come back to try out there sporting clays course

Visited the range today while visiting family for Christmas. Beautiful, rustic setting with all types shooting available. We shot the clay course. Targets were fun and challenging. Traps worked without incident. Great place to spend the day while the ladies shop. Hope to be able to shoot this venue several times next year.

I’m relatively new to sporting clays and have only shot at a handful of places. I was at Myrtle Beach for thanksgiving and wanted to go shoot a bit. We found out about low country through the Internet. Me and my father drove up and shot on the clays course. Todd and the staff were very friendly and helpful. In my personal opinion Low Country Preserve is a 10/10 and I would recomend the place to anyone.

I found this club on http://www.claytargetsonline.com.
We have been traveling through the Southeast, going to sporting clay courses. I called and talked with Todd to be sure of the hours they were open. When I got there Todd was very informative.
The targets were fair and challenging as they were preparing for a tournament the next day. Great clays, and the traps worked without a hiccup.

I was asked to join a few friends that are avid shooters & are new to the sporting clays game. Since I shoot 3 to 4 thousand rounds a year, I would joined my friends & serve as the puller. They seemed to really enjoy themselves but I noticed how often the different stations repeated the flight of the targets. To me, this does not reflect targets in the field but it is what it is. This course is set to make it a challenge for the beginner. Mr. Bill made himself available if any questions or problems may come up. Here are a few ideas you may want to go over…
    1. Have targets flying into groups of trees as quail & grouse do.
    2. Have rabbits running thru the trees & brush as in real life situations.
    3. Have targets flying just a few feet off the ground like snipe & woodcock.
    4. Change your setup every couple of weeks to offer more challenging situations for the avid hunter.

    I would rate the course a 7 out of 10, the staff at a 8, cleanliness at a 9.5

Best of luck to my fellow shooters!

Low Country was new to me until today, I’m in the area in Sept. for dove season and April for turkey season. Anyway, I was initially disappointed at the 5 stand because 4 out of 8 trap did not function. Bill, the Manager, showed up and fixed the traps (replaced batteries) and was able to allow 7 out of 8 to function. He pulled for me and was amazed I shot 25×25. I thought they were “soft targets” but fun. Hey, a straight is a straight. The sporting clay course was much better. ALL traps functioned well and targets were presented well. Not “tournament quality” but fun. I’ll be back next spring for some more. Thanks for a good morning shooting.

We went to this club while on vacation in Carolina Beach. The three of us that went are avid sporting clays shooters but had never been to this club before. We were very impressed with the club. Its easy to find, the pro shop/clubhouse is well stocked and staffed. The course is excellent and easy to navigate. One of my biggest complaints with sporting clays courses are the often repeat stations that throw similar targets. There was none of that here. Each station was unique and fun. The station setups and landscapes are beautiful. We went a second time because we had so much fun. We go to Carolina Beach often and we WILL be going back for sure.

Low Country Preserve has a great all around set up. The piece of property is ideal. The owners and staff are professional and friendly. The product variety is unique to the area and offers something for everyone. It is definitely worth checking out. I would already be a member if I were able to get away more often.

I had the pleasure of shooting at the club yesterday. It was an extremely hot day, and Todd drove me around and pulled for me. In my opinion it is an excellent club, well maintained, and challenging. There are just enough easy shots to draw you in, then comes the tough ones! I thoroughly enjoyed myself and plan on coming back when we are in North Myrtle next time. Also trying to round up a group of friends to hunt boar! Great find and close to NMB and MB.

I found vast improvements when down that direction on vacation:

The 5 stand had 8-9 traps on it making for a wide variety of target presentations all over water.

A sporting clay course was added – 10 stations, good use of the terrain: open fields; in trees; over water etc targets. A couple of the stations had 3 traps for additional variety of target presentations. Rabbits, flyers, battues all used.

Volunteer staff was helpful; the manager Bill, has more to work with than when he was at Myrtle Grove and it shows.

I’ll be back, hopefully they will be able to get other vacationers to augment their regular members – 25 minutes from OIB/ Sunset, easy drive.

My wife and I just finished shooting five stand and sporting clays. We are visiting for the month of April and will be back to shoot before we leave. The sporting clays had shots for everyone from beginner to expert. The stations and clay presentations made you feel like you were hunting “in the woods”. The staff was first rate and very friendly.

Great place to shoot ! I did the 5 stand first time there, and went back for the 100 bird sporting course on another day. Both games are well laid out, fair shots, and FUN. I highly recommend this club if you are in the area, it’s only 30 minutes from Myrtle Beach. Both Todd & Bill were helpful and friendly, good people to meet. Thanks guys, Bruce

Very pleased to have a range so close to North Myrtle beach. The target presentations were challenging and the facilities were excellent. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. I look forward to my next visit. About 20 minute drive from North Myrtle.

My wife and I absolutely LOVED this sporting clays course. It had all the elements for every level shooter Woods , lakes , open fields and great variation in the target presentations. Staff was fantastic and the facility clean and well groomed along the course. We will definitely be returning and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun day of shooting clays .

Was on vacation and went back a couple of times to shoot 5 stand. Lots of untapped potential.

I have a feeling that the owners/ managers are not dedicated clay target shooters and if they made a few field trips to other clubs with active 5 stands they would get some good ideas on how to improve their target presentations.

They need to add 4-5 additional traps (9-10 total, not the 5 they have now) with incomers/ outgoers/ and crossers. They should figure out 3-5 different target presentation menus and post them on each stand.

With a little effort, this could be great.

Shot skeet here while on vacation. Due to recent flooding the 5 stand was down – too bad as it looked interesting, the five stands are all at different heights shooting off of a deck facing a pond, so all target presentations will be over water. I will be back next time we are here.

Was an easy drive from Ocean Isle Beach – take 904 until in runs into 905, go right, Indigo Flats is the second street on right, the club is on the left maybe 300 yards down the road.
