This is a member’s personal review of Old Colony Sportsman’s Association, January 2015.
Old Colony is a well-run club with friendly welcoming members supporting many activities like indoor small-bore junior rifle, archery, pistol, long range rifle, and black powder shooting with a “primitive area” for other activities like knife and tomahawk throwing.
The nicely maintained grass clay target fields are well managed by the club’s Skeet Committee. The fields are generally operated as 2 skeet, 1 trap, and 1 5-stand, but can also operate 2 trap and 1 skeet if needed. The clay target fields have comfortable heated/air-conditioned field houses to relax and enjoy chatting with other shooters between rounds. Breakfast and lunch are usually available for purchase in the main club house on most Saturdays and Sundays.
