I’ve visited this range twice this summer/fall, once with my family and once with a new shooter. Excellent terrain and the target setter does a nice job, both courses are fun to shoot. Negatively, the office staff both times was distant at very best. No greeting, no course info, no score cards offered. Both times I’ve shot, multiple stations were inoperable or malfunctioning making keeping score as well as trying to get into a rhythm pointless. When asked about joining a league or when registered shoots were being held the desk attendant had zero information. Overall an A plus for the course itself but extremely disappointing with management and maintenance. A lot of potential though!

We were originally going to another place but discovered that it was in the middle of The Lobster Classic. Since we were not looking to register for a major tournament, we set out to give Peace Dale a chance. This was my first time here, and I am glad we made the trip. Peace Dale is an absolutely exceptional facility. A wonderful blend of awesome presentations, and a great walk in the woods. This is now our first choice; top notch! We will be returning soon. 5 out of 5 stars.

While visiting my daughter in Saunderstown RI I had the opportunity to take a sporting clays shooting lesson from Rich at Peace Dale Shooting Preserve. It was a first class experience. Rich was patient ( he needed to be LOL) and we worked through a number of issues from gun mount to leads. I have taken a couple of other lessons from shooting coaches in Maine but this was by far the best and I learned the most–so much so I have made a date to take another lesson. I also had the chance to experience his sporting clays lay out which is very nice. There are a number of different courses and target presentations including rabbits, teal, chondels and the target presentations are changed on a regular basis. If one is looking for a first class shooting experience Rich and Peace Dale Shooting Preserve is the place to go!!

My brother-in-law and I (a nurse from CT) who are experienced pistol and rifle shooters have vacationed in Narragansett for two summers now, and started going to Peace Dale Shooting Preserve the first year we were there, which was also our first time shooting clays. Richie was great getting us geared up and started without dragging us over the coals as self proclaimed newbies. He was also generous giving us pointers and tips without the formal lessons. John on the other hand was our ‘guide’ so to speak, and he was the diamond in the rough! Very safe, knowledgeable, accommodating, and easy going. They provide a very comfortable tailored experience to suite the shooters needs, a great family and team. You bet I’ll be back next year!!!!

Richie Frisella’s Peacedale Shooting Preserve is friendly, helpful, as well as being a challenging competitive course. He attracts shooters of all skills and makes duffers (like me) and the hot shots feel welcome. Weekend mini-shoots are informal and fun for all. Great place for shotgunners.

Peace Dale Shooting Preserve is a great place to shoot! Richie is an outstanding teacher and a great American! Richie has (on slower days)spent his time instructing my four boys, thus teaching them (and me)many ways to improve our style, techniques & scores! His desire to teach young children comes from his heart…my kids love this guy!
Richie’s creativity provides awesome vantage points and also insures that Peace Dale Shooting Preserve is never the same place twice.
Definitely go here.

This is a great place to go shooting. They are the nicest people, and they always are willing to help you if you need it. When my daughter and I go, we always have the best time. This is one of the best places I have ever gone to, period.

This is a great place. I’ve just started getting involved w/ shooting and have been taking lessons with Richie. He is a thorough and knowledgeable instructor with patience. I have enjoyed the experience and look forward to doing the mini-shoots they organize here.
I have recommended the preserve to my friends and they like it too.

This is a terrific place. Richie is not only a great guy and gracious host, I know he is willing to help anyone who needs it. You can experience a wide range of target presentations from beginner to expert. Also, there is no “down” time meaning you don’t have to wait for the owner/manager to get his act together to go shoot. I shot 300 targets over four hours and could have shot another 300 if my mind and body were up for it. Unfortunately, I live in southwestern Connecticut otherwise, I would be there every day.
I can’t wait to go back.

Though I live in Portland, Maine I am originally from RI. Because of work I was down in RI for a month and a half and a buddy of mine decided we should try sporting clays at the Peace Dale Shooting Preserve. We decided to try a few clinics that they provide. What a blast! Richie seems like a great guy and is an awesome instructor. Even though I do some target shooting, the way you mount the gun in sporting clays was different to me. Richie was very patient and was intent on getting me to do it right. By the end of my time I was getting enough dead birds to really make it worthwhile. What an great place!

I used to be a member at this club but moved to Florida last year. I travel alot on business and shoot sporting clays, 5-stand and FITASC whenever I can find a good club in the vicinity of my destination. After traveling all over the country to different clubs, I have found none better than Peacedale….If you are looking for variety and challenging targets this is the place. They also happen to have the most accomodating staff anywhere. Richie, Teresa and their staff are GREAT PEOPLE!!

I was introduced to Peacedale Shooting Preserve by my cousin and uncle. I must tell you that I have always hunted all my life but never shot sporting clays. When I fist came to Peacedale Shooting Preserve I was introduced to the owner Richi Frisella by my uncle and right away I was welcomed into the club. Peacedale Shooting Preserve has allot to offer, whether you are a beginner or an expert, this is the place to go. If you are a bird hunter and never shot sporting clays or just want to get started in a new hobby, check out Peacedale Shooting Preserve, I promise you will be satisfied. I now go every weekend!!
